In Proverbs 3 we're told about wisdom from God and going in the way of this wisdom.
Wisdom from God brought to us by the Holy Spirit is precious treasure.
In whatever we face, nothing is more valuable, helpful, or sure than
God's direction and guidance to us ....
Proverbs 3:13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man
that getteth understanding. 14 For the merchandise of it is better than
the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. 15 She
is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are
not to be compared unto her.
When we have wisdom from God in a matter, and continue in the way of
that wisdom, we are led in ways that are pleasing to God, ways that get
us free from bondages, ways that set in proper order those things that
affect us ... leading us to store up treasure in heaven, walk in peace,
and have life ...
Proverbs 3:16 Length of days is in her right hand; and in her
left hand riches and honour. 17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and
all her paths are peace. 18 She is a tree of life to them that lay hold
upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.
In His wisdom God wonderfully created and directs the heavens and the earth ...
Proverbs 3:19 The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth; by
understanding hath he established the heavens. 20 By his knowledge the
depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew.
It is important that we hold onto each word
we are given from God, His wisdom to us in the situation. As we keep
the wisdom we have been given before us and go in that way, we are kept
safe, kept in the path of life ...
Proverbs 3:21
My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and
discretion: 22 So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy
neck. 23 Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not
stumble. 24 When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou
shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.
While thinking about how precious it is to have wisdom from God in each
matter we deal with, I was reminded that God freely gives His wisdom to
those who ask Him without doubting, believing that God knows the best
way for us to go and is able to somehow show His wisdom to us in a way we can understand ...
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that
giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given
him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth
is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not
that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8 A double
minded man is unstable in all his ways.
What kindness and mercy God shows in giving His wisdom to those who ask in faith.
