Proverbs 20:24 Man's goings are of the Lord; how can a man
then understand his own way?
When reading this verse, I thought of how the Holy Spirit leads according to the will of God. It isn't for us to try to plan out our lives as we once did, but to turn to and trust God, and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.
And when the Holy Spirit leads us, we
often see just a step to take. After
we take that step, we may see another step to take. We often don't see the entire way. Instead, the way
unfolds before us as we take each step shown to us by the Holy Spirit.
We are led, not according to what we have worked out and plans we have made (our own understanding), but according to the will of God, accomplishing His purpose in our lives.
John 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou
hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it
cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of
the Spirit.
