πŸ’₯ God trains HIS ministers for the ministry in the New Testament church.

When God sets a minister to be a minister for today's New Testament church, God trains that minister and equips that minister for the work of the ministry.

The apostle Paul describes his training as follows:

Galatians 1

12 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.

12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

13 For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:

14 And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.

15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by HIS grace,

16 To reveal HIS Son in me, that I might preach HIM among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

17 Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.

(Paul was separated to God for 3 years where from God Paul received the revelations for the churches.)

18 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.

19 But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother.

20 Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.

21 Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;

22 And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ:

23 But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.

24 And they glorified God in me.

God trained me for the ministries of apostle/prophet over a period of 5 years between 1975, when I was born again, and 1980, when I was shown to go on radio and exhort the church.

I owned a small business at that time and had 3 very competent women who worked for me.  I didn't have to be at the shop except to do appraisals of Indian jewelry and to go on buying trips to the Indian reservations in New Mexico.

After I was born again, I often stayed all day at my apartment reading the Bible while God by HIS Spirit taught me what portions of the scriptures meant.

God used with me a neighborhood prayer group and the singles Bible class at the church I was attending to show me how to operate in the spiritual gifts I had been given.

At the prayer group, we were standing in a circle praying with our heads down and eyes closed when God said to me, "Look up."  I opened my eyes and looked up.  On a wall, I saw an outline of a body part.  It was as if someone had taken a marker and outlined this on that blank wall.  I said to God, "I know that is a body part but I don't know which one."  I heard, "Stomach."  (Oh yeah.  It's a stomach.  I recalled the Pepto-Bismol commercials I'd seen on TV.)

After the women quit praying, I said, "Does any one have a stomach problem?"

One little woman gleefully began jumping up and down and said, "I do!  I do!"

After that, God frequently gave me "word of knowledge" for individuals in both the prayer group and the Bible class at church.

The man who taught our Bible class would always make time for spiritual gifts at the class as he asked, "Does anyone have a word from the Lord?"

Often during the singing before the class, God would show me "words of knowledge" by open visions.  And I would present these at we were invited to share by the teacher.

People at the church often came to me saying, "We know the hand of God is strongly upon you."

It was the spiritual gifts that identified me to the church.

Proverbs 18:16  A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.

Spiritual gifts given by God to the New Testament Church today:

I Corinthians 12

4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as HE (God) will.
