As God set the sun, moon, stars in exact order
in the solar system, God set the order for the children of Israel in
the wilderness, and in the NT church as HE ordained HIS ministers.

All men above the age of 20 who are able to go to war are numbered from the tribes of Israel. (Numbers 1)
Now the tribes of Israel are set by God in exact places
where they will rest within the camp and go forward when they journey
according to the families of the 12 tribes of Israel with an the 1/2
tribes from Joseph for they were counted as 2 1/2 tribes.
(As
in the solar system, there would be complete chaos except for fact that
God placed these men in exact places so the 603,550 knew exactly where
to camp when resting and in which order to go out when they journeyed or
went to war.)
The tabernacle was in the center with the priests, Levites, and all the tribes of Israel surrounding the tabernacle of God on north, south, east and west sides.
