John 15  (Jesus says)

1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit HE taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, HE purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

4 Abide in ME, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

New Testament church today:

Romans 8:14   For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

The Holy Spirit of God is given to each person who is born again by God.  The Holy Spirit leads us today in the church by bringing to our mind truths from God and scriptures.

Jesus explains what the Holy Spirit will do in the New Testament church after HE is crucified and raised from the dead and taken into heaven:

John 14:26  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 16:13  Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.

I Corinthians 2

9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.  (OT)

10 (NT) But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

I find that most churches are not taught about the Holy Spirit.  God taught me these things about following the Holy Spirit and I have lived by the truths of the scriptures since I was born again in 1975.

I Corinthians 3:16-17  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

💥 How crazy must man get before we know?

 

At the end of August, 2023, when Donald Trump posed for his "mug shot" at the jail in Georgia and that photo appeared on TV, I couldn't believe my eyes!

And in an hour's time, he was selling this mug shot in fund raising schemes and people were actually buying the photos, cups, tee shirts with that photo.  (Last reported $7-million dollars in sales.)

Incredible!

But it shows us the craziness of today.

If we view it enough, it could even sweep us away with them.  The devil will begin to send us thoughts that it's all right.

With Trump we have not only seen an attack on democracy but perhaps the beginning of the end of democracy.  (Where is the integrity among those who watch this in the USA government?  Of whom do they fear?  Their efforts comes to nothing as straw creatures whose end is to be burned in their own celebrations like some medieval festival.)

And where does the United States fit in the Bible?

Once I heard a preacher say he couldn't find a place in the end of the world where USA fit into the Bible.

We who belong to God certainly are not a part of all this which we see today in the governments of men.  Nor are we a part of the apostasy that is in the churches around us where scriptures are cast aside and other doctrines set up.

Jeremiah 8:11  For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of MY people slightly, saying, "Peace, peace;" when there is no peace.

Luke 21:36   (Jesus says)  Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

As God set the sun, moon, stars in exact order in the solar system, God set the order for the children of Israel in the wilderness, and in the NT church as HE ordained HIS ministers.

Now the tribes of Israel are set by God in exact places where they will rest within the camp and go forward when they journey according to the families of the 12 tribes of Israel with an the 1/2 tribes from Joseph for they were counted as 2 1/2 tribes.

(As in the solar system, there would be complete chaos except for fact that God placed these men in exact places so the 603,550 knew exactly where to camp when resting and in which order to go out when they journeyed or went to war.)

The tabernacle was in the center with the priests, Levites, and all the tribes of Israel surrounding the tabernacle of God on north, south, east and west sides.

💥 Judgment of God is coming.

 

Daily I anticipate the coming of the judgment of God upon this world and upon those apostate churches who cast away portions of the Bible.

I know it is coming.  I feel it.  I awake daily thinking of it and looking for it.

It is the most real thing I know:  The judgment of God upon this earth.

2 Peter 3

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Let the crazy people be crazy.  Let the powerful people show us their power.  It will all be for nought for God is coming upon this earth with HIS judgment.  It is before us and even on us now.  Don't we see the weather today which can only be controlled by God?  And what is that weather like today?   We see it daily on our TV screens, except for those who are being swept away from this earth by it.

This is judgment.

💥 Taking the land that is before us after we are born again.

In the Old Testament, they took the land through war, killing all males and the women who had known a man.

In the New Testament, we take the land that is before us by speaking the Word of God wherever we are and the enemies of God flee from us at the Word.  Those who are going to be saved, show us by agreeing with the Word and living by the Word.  Acts 2:47  And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

We never stop speaking the Word of God and never stop living by the Word.

Revelation 3:5  (Jesus says)  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before MY Father, and before HIS angels.

Podcast: Sacrifice for our sins: Old and New Testaments

 

 

 

When Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to this earth, HE sacrificed HIS life by dying on a cross, shedding HIS own blood, to pay for the sins of the church of the New Testament.

We today are not saved by our own works but by faith in that shed blood of Christ.

Hebrews 9:22  And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

Up to the time of Jesus, the children of Israel, by the instruction and will of God, paid for their sins by the shedding of blood of animals.

The Book of Leviticus gives the laws of God for the Old Testament:

1 And the LORD called unto Moses, and spake unto him out of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,

2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man of you bring an offering unto the LORD, ye shall bring your offering of the cattle, even of the herd, and of the flock.

3 If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD.

4 And he shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.

5 And he shall kill the bullock before the LORD: and the priests, Aaron's sons, shall bring the blood, and sprinkle the blood round about upon the altar that is by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

Leviticus 27:34  These are the commandments, which the LORD commanded Moses for the children of Israel in mount Sinai.

If the Jews do not believe in Jesus as the Messiah today, then how do they pay for their sins?

So far as I know today's Jews do not sacrifice animals as God instructed prior to the sacrifice of Jesus.

💥 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers, says the apostle Paul.

 

After we are born again and changed by God into a new creature, we find we no longer want to be with those persons we had been with before.  We really have nothing in common with them anymore.

Now we are children of the living God!

2 Corinthians 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

After we are born again, we want to be with the people of God.  We want to learn about God.  We talk about God.  HE is our life now.

Didn't that happen to you?  It certainly did to me.

Barbara Preston, of our little church group, said she was so changed that her daughter asked her step-father if "mother" was all right.  

She wasn't like she had been before.

My dad said to my mother, "Joan has gone overboard on this religion thing."

My mother said to my dad, "No ... she's all right."

(Amazing for my mother had always fought against me and my dad had been for me and now it reversed.)

In the end, they were both born again.

A woman of my acquaintance had fought everyone and everything.  She had been so crazy that once she even threw a radio through the glass door of a principal's office at school.

When she was in her 40's, she went to hospital for an operation.

The night before surgery, a nurse came in and said to her, "You won't be the same after this operation.  You will be totally different."  

She replied, "Yes ... I know I will."

"No." said the nurse.   "Those people you once ran around with, you will no longer like."

After the operation, Peggy's friends came to visit.  They were lesbians.  Peggy could no longer stand being around these people.  She was completely different!  Now she wanted to go to church.  She wanted to read the Bible.  She was completely changed.

After she recovered from the operation, she returned to that hospital to talk with that nurse and found there was no such person at that hospital!

13 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

I Corinthians 10:11  Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

I find parallel examples also in many of the sections of New Testament scripture, giving the same instruction from God that I saw in the Old Testament.

You can't run around with unbelievers:

Exodus 34

10 And HE said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou art shall see the work of the LORD: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee.

11 Observe thou that which I command thee this day: behold, I drive out before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

12 Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee:

13 But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves:

14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:

15 Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;

16 And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods.

We see the same instruction in the New Testament:

2 Corinthians 6

14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

💥 When a man's ways please the LORD, HE maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him. (Proverbs 16:7)

 

Sometimes we get ourselves into ways that will not be good for us and we must follow God out of that which would be harmful to us, doing what God shows us to do.

One of our neighbor's offered to loan me books and DVD's of Wagner's operas when I expressed an interest in learning more about Wagner's 4 opera's called "The Ring".

(I knew I did not want to see movies of operas which had been translated into English, because often the plots of operas are spiritually offensive to me and I avoid such, listening only to the recording of the music and arias which are in a language I can't understand.)

During the time this happened, I was working on one of the ministry writings and began thinking that I needed to write to this woman and cancel any idea of watching DVD's of the operas.  And I knew I needed to stop this immediately.  So I stopped the work I had been doing and began writing an email to this woman.

E-mail to neighbor:

I have a problem continuing with the actual operas because of all the "gods" in Wagner's works. I probably will hear some of the opera on the classical online presentations, where it is just music in German.

I don't want to see portrayal on DVD, however, as they worship their powerless gods.

My God created the heaven and earth and has great power to help me in every way as needed. HE is the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, the father of Jesus Christ, the Word.

I do thank you for the help provided for it really was help. I knew nothing about that which "The Ring" meant. I did know Wagner dealt with mythical gods and such things as Hitler loved even when it was destruction of his own people. This just isn't for me, except for the abstraction of the Wagner music.

If you ever want to come over, there are many other things to enjoy.

I was surprised, for about a week after this, Pam said this woman had brought us a cutting of sunflowers from her back yard.

Pam had a problem with his woman several years ago over a spiritual matter and this woman refused to speak with Pam for several years after this problem.  I expected the woman to be offended by my letter also.  And I also told her, by separate email, that if my God had a dwarf steal his ring (as in the Wagner opera), and then the next 3 operas were about this powerless god trying to get his ring back from the dwarf, I would be looking for another god!

(I think God showed me this woman is Jewish.)

After she brought the sunflowers, I was reminded of this scripture in Proverbs.

Proverbs 16:7  When a man's ways please the LORD, HE maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.

(Notice how I had to stop working on our blog writing to write immediately to this woman.  Sometimes there is an urgency in settling a matter and I knew this was God showing me to stop what I was doing and settle this issue at once!)

Podcast: Insight from God

 

 

 

In July, 2023, I believe God brought some insight to me concerning the subjects of bringing other gods before Him.

The Holy Spirit is in us.  To speak of other "gods" and think on other "gods" or see movies of other "gods" would be to bring other "gods" before HIM.

I Corinthians 3:16  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

Judges 2:12  And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to anger.

A teacher of our Bible class at church always said to us:  Don't look into other religious to see what they do.  Study the Bible and when someone comes to you with wrong doctrine you will recognize that wrong doctrine.

Their gods have no power.  Our God created the heaven and earth and has all power.

One day, the Holy Spirit spoke the following word to me over and over, "in the air".

I knew that was in a scripture and I found it as follows:

I Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

That same day, a man came to my house speaking a false doctrine saying Jesus would set up HIS kingdom on this present earth.

I knew what he said was incorrect for the Holy Spirit had just shown me we would be taken as the church "into the air" .  

I also knew we would be taken to the New heaven and the New earth told us in Revelation 21.

Revelation 21

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

Also the apostle Peter tells us the following:

2 Peter 3

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

The present earth as we know it will be destroyed by God by fire and will dissolve, not even existing.

I Timothy 4:1  Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

Devils bring thoughts contrary to scripture to our minds to see if we will accept these doctrines as true.  (There is no truth in devils.  Jn. 8:44)

We must not take on ourselves doctrines of devils nor speaking doctrines of devils to other people.

Cling to scripture.  Believe that doctrine shown us by scripture.  Believe that which God has shown to you by dreams.

Concerning the blood of Jesus ... God gave me a very strong revelation as follows:  

Hebrews 9:12   ... by HIS own blood HE entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us ... v. 22  And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

I have shed none of my own blood to pay for my sins.  Jesus did shed HIS own blood to pay for my sins.  My sins can never be paid for by my works, by trying to make up for what I did wrong.  Only through entering into belief in Jesus' blood can I be saved from my sins.

We are heirs with Christ through Jesus' blood.

Romans 8:11-17    But if the Spirit of HIM that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, HE that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by HIS Spirit that dwelleth in you.

John 6:35   (Jesus said)    I am the bread of life: he that cometh to ME shall never hunger; and he that believeth on ME shall never thirst.

Jesus, THE WORD, is the bread we, who are children of God, eat and drink.

The Lord's supper is THE WORD which we live by.  We eat and drink THE WORD continually as we live on this earth.

THE WORD (Jesus) is flesh and blood to us.

John 6:48-51    Jesus says:   I am that bread of life. 

(Jesus, THE WORD, is our bread.)

Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.

This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.

(THE WORD comes down from heaven to us today and comes into our minds by His Spirit speaking ...  THE WORD is living bread, for that word delivered to us today comes from God, The Father, through HIS Spirit who lives in us ... HE speaks to us through Jesus' Spirit, the Holy Spirit, and shows us the way to go as we live on this earth today ... God does this by bringing HIS thoughts to our minds by HIS Spirit.  John 14:26 & John 16:13)

John 6:53-58   Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His blood, ye have no life in you.

(Life is in The Word of God ... and the way we eat and drink that WORD given us by God.)

Whoso eateth My flesh, and drinketh My blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

For My flesh is meat indeed, and My blood is drink indeed.

He that eateth My flesh, and drinketh My blood, dwelleth in Me, and I (dwell) in him.

I Corinthians 10:13  There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Often I have looked at other people and have thought, "I don't believe I could stand what they are going through."  And the Holy Spirit reminds me of the above scripture.

Often people get in places they should not be in because they failed the fundamental rule of God: which is "follow after peace."

If you have no peace about that which you have planned, don't do it.  There is another way to go.  Seek God and the way HE would have you go in the matter at hand.

Even in "little" things, be willing to make changes.

I have a wonderful dentist and I usually never dread going there for never is there any pain.

But recently I did have dread concerning an appointment.  Dentist was going to fill 2 teeth and she warned me about one tooth which is near a bridge and she said she didn't know if she could save the bridge and she might have to do a new bridge.  (Even as she spoke, I had begun praying, "God please don't let the bridge be destroyed.")

That prayer should have stopped the problem.

But as the time approached for me to have the 2 teeth filled, I continued to have a little fear and apprehension about the appointment.  So I prayed again.  "I'm fearful abut this next appointment.  Something is wrong.  Please help me."

Instantly I heard this, "Just have one tooth filled and set a second appointment for the other."

I was at complete peace and the fear disappeared.

I was in the car being driven to the appointment at the time I prayed and heard what to go.  I went into the office and was taken to the treatment room and the assistant came to do preparatory work and I told the assistant to please ask dentist if we could fill only one tooth this time and make appointment for me to come back for the other tooth.

Assistant said, "I think doctor will like that plan for she is going on maternity leave this week and it is becoming more difficult for her to do dental work at this time."

(It didn't matter to me which tooth dentist filled that day.)

Dentist choose the upper tooth which was beside the bridge.  She said it was more difficult for her to do work on the lower teeth.  I thought it was a good plan to repair the upper tooth because it was beside the bridge and that would not be lingering in my thoughts during the coming weeks.

She filled the tooth and didn't even mention the bridge so I felt it must not have been a problem, and it wasn't!

If there is a lingering dread after prayer, pray again!  Something is wrong with the plan.  

James 1:5  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Be very careful about letting others make decisions for you.

The husband of a woman in our little church group fell twice and they found he had two small strokes causing this problem.  He was also having problem at the same time with kidney stones.  (They are both in their 70's.)  There was much pressure on her during this time.  She said, "There are stairs all over this house."  She said they really needed a single level house.  They also lived across the state from her 2 adult aged children.  

The next report I received from her is they were selling their house and moving to her son's condominium.  They would buy their own house after her husband's physical condition got better.

I had one question:  "How did this come about."  (I didn't hear God mentioned in this plan.)

She replied, "He (son) offered."  (Still no mention of God showing her to do this thing.)

God gave me an open vision showing she was being swallowed whole by a giant prehistoric type snake.  I saw her 1/2 way in the snake's mouth with only her legs and feet hanging out, and then she was completely gone.  She had been swallowed whole, sort of like Jonah in the belly of the whale!  The snake was licking his lips.  Then he turned and I saw the tip of his tale wagging like he was a dog after having his meal.  End of vision.

Also I asked her what she was going to do if son (twice divorced unbeliever) brought a woman home to spend the night.  (no reply)

I communicated this to her.  And told her she was being swallowed whole by unbelievers:  5 unbelievers would be in this situation:  husband, adult son and daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter

Next communication:  She said, "She had never been comfortable with this plan to move to her son's house.  Finally she went to her husband and said she didn't want to do this."  Husband said, "OK."  So they cancelled this plan.

Now her husband's condition is better.  They still plan to sell the house and move to town where son and daughter live to be close if they need help.

I believe she was saved from disaster by changing this plan where she had no peace.

If you have no peace, don't do it!

One way God leads us is by "peace".   God often troubles us when the plan would not be good for us to do.
