When I was a new Christian in 1975, I used several versions of the Bible: KJV, NASB, NIV
But when God would bring a scripture to my mind, it was usually in King James Version.
So I decided God wanted me to use the KJV of the Bible. I believe this is the purest version.
When there is a word I don't know, I just look it up in a regular dictionary.
For example: Jesus uses the word "surfeiting".
Luke 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
I looked this word up in a regular dictionary and found it means "over indulgence".

There are a few verses that I use the NASB and the NIV, but not many. In my own Bible reading, I stay with KJV for I think that is what God wants me to do.
NASB II Thessalonians 2:3 No one is to deceive you in any way! For it (the day of the Lord) will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,
The apostasy comes to the churches.
KJV II Thessalonians 2:3-4 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (of the Lord) shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
(God said to me: "The falling away are not people leaving the churches; The falling away are the churches leaving the scriptures and setting up other teachings opposite to the doctrine of Christ.")
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he (antichrist) as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

(The scriptures are the restraint against antichrist. When the Bible is changed antichrist moves into the church. Antichrist is a spirit like the devil is a spirit. Antichrist is in men in the churches, both in the pastors and those who follow these pastors. Antichrist comes through the church. The scriptures keep antichrist out of the church but they change certain scriptures, such as doctrines concerning divorce and remarriage, to please the people and antichrist moves into the church group.)
NASB 6-7 And you know what restrains him now, so that he will be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only HE who now restrains will do so until HE is removed.
I asked God, "WHO restrains antichrist." And instantly I realized, "Jesus, The Word, restrains antichrist from coming into the church." When they removed scripture the man of lawlessness moved into the church.
For example:
Matthew 5:32 Jesus said: But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
💥 The divorced woman who remarries commits adultery, but her husband who divorced a "faithful" wife will be the cause of her adultery.
💥 The man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
Mark 10 Jesus says:
7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;
8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.
9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
11 And HE saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.
12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.
The apostle Paul said the following is the commandment of the Lord for the New Testament Church:
1 Corinthians 7:10-11 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:
11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

The churches changed these doctrines of Christ allowing antichrist to move into the church and lawlessness to reign inside the church group. This is the apostasy and end time antichrist .
The doctrines of Christ are given to us today in the New Testament Bible.
