I Jn. 1 ... That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
I was speaking with a woman who kept trying to please me rather than just pleasing God. I told her if she tried to please me she would likely fail. But if she would please God she would please me.
I realized fellowship with God in I Jn. 1 means pleasing God.
