Rewards in heaven

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

II Jn. v. 8 ... Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

Paul speaks of those who build on works that are not authored by God and how their works will be burned in the fire and they will be saved but will suffer loss.

I Cor. 3 ... According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
11For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.  14
If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

And Paul exhorts us to run this race in a proper way so we can "obtain".  He likens our race to the natural athlete who runs a race trying to win.

I Cor. 9 ... Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. 25And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things.  Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. 26I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: 27But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

And Jesus speaks of the servant who quits because his Lord is delayed ...

Mt. 24 ... Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? 46Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 47Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. 48But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; 49And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; 50The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, 51And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

And Paul tells us in Phil. 2, to work out our own salvation in fear and trembling.

Running the race takes diligence and continuation in the work.  We have to work to keep our hearts.  Things come that would draw us off and discourage us and that is when we must fight for faith even harder.
