The Word of God is the perfect law of liberty ... When we choose to live by the Word of God and we set about to do that instruction we are blessed in our deed.
Jesus said the man who marries the divorced woman commits adultery. Mt. 5:32
This may seem like bondage but it is liberty. The man who chooses to live by this may free himself from terrible things that can happen in "the wrong marriage." Therefore it is liberty.
The way of this world is to buy now and pay later, going into a bondage of debt for things. I chose to live by "owe no man anything" ... Heb. 13:8
I find my eyes are often set on fire by catalogs The catalog arrives in the mail. I have no need and don't want anything. When I open the catalog, I nearly always see something I want. What I usually do is mark the page and set it aside and a few weeks later if I think of it I look at it again and see if I really want that. Usually I find it is not worth it to me and I throw the catalog away. Often I don't even open the catalog when I receive it in mail. I just throw it away.
Prov. 27:20 ... Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.
The word of God is liberty ... it frees us when we do it.
