Lk. 20:17-18 ...Jesus said: The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner? 18Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
If we read the Word or hear the word and fall down upon the word, putting our flesh to death, we find the power of our flesh broken.
But if we reject the word and go on in our own way, and that WORD falls us "it will grind us to powder."
The result will be very serious to us.
I met a man who said he never read the Bible for if he did read the Bible he would have to do what it said.
This man seemed more honest than many people who attend church and read Bible and continue in their sins without repenting and turning.
