Those who suppose gain is sign of godliness

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

There are people who suppose gain is a sign of godliness.  They fail to consider that some gain through their own cunning without their way being the way of God.  And when this is the case, the "gain" is really a form of a trap.

There are some ministers who keep getting more and more followers by their own cunning.  Often they have big numbers because they fail to speak portions of truth which would offend the people.  For example:  Jesus said, The man who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.  Mt. 5:32 ... Paul says, Let not the wife depart from her husband but, and if she depart let her remain unmarried or return to her husband.  I Cor. 7

There are many who gain properties by going into debt and using worldly means.

These are cases where gain is not the sign of godliness.

To look at people who "gain" and "suppose" this is a sign they are godly is foolish.

Paul instructs:  Withdraw yourselves from those who consider gain to be a sign of godliness.

I Tim. 6 ... Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

6But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 8And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

9But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

11But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. 12Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

We are simply passing through this world.  It is not permanent.  Therefore it should be viewed as only temporary, putting everything into proper order.
