Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
II Chronicles 25 ... concerning Amaziah, king of Judah ... and found them three hundred thousand choice men (of Judah), able to go forth to war, that could handle spear and shield. 6He hired also an hundred thousand mighty men of valour out of Israel for an hundred talents of silver.
7But there came a man of God to him, saying, O king, let not the army of Israel go with thee; for the LORD is not with Israel, to wit, with all the children of Ephraim. 8But if thou wilt go, do it, be strong for the battle: God shall make thee fall before the enemy: for God hath power to help, and to cast down.
9And Amaziah said to the man of God, But what shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Israel?
And the man of God answered, The LORD is able to give thee much more than this.
God intervened to stop Amaziah's plan ... God used a prophet to deliver the message that would turn Amaziah. God might use a prophet this way today. Or today God might speak directly to you through HIS Spirit. Regardless, we must be quick to stop our plans when we have a contrary word from the Spirit of God about the plan or when we feel a loss of interest in the plan or concern about the plan. We must be willing to change from our plan.
Second, even if we have already paid and would suffer financial loss, we must stop the plan when we feel concern about the plan. It is better to suffer the financial loss than to go ahead with something shaky.
