Blessed is man that trusts in God.

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

I received a letter recently from a man asking me to pray that a certain person would elected as leader in his country.

I asked God about how to respond and I was given the following message.

Jeremiah 17 ... Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. 6For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. 7Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. 8For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

There were many evil kings in the Old Testament but God took care of HIS people in the midst of evil.  It is better to trust in God and hope in HIM than to hope in leaders of governments of man.

And Paul said ... I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;  2For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. I Tim. 2

Jesus said ... My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. Jn. 18:36

Hebrews 11 ... These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.  14For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. 15And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. 16But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

This present earth and all it's works will be destroyed in the day of the Lord.  And there will be a new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.  Righteousness will never be in this present earth.  We who are of God will overcome in the midst of evil but not by man's ways.

II Peter 3:  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 10But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?  13Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. 14Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Those of us who are of God focus on these things as we live on this present earth.
