A warning: proper handling of Word of God

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

A warning ...

Be very careful in approach to word of God and to handling of word of God.

Often when I sit to read our writings on Internet I will feel pressure and hurried and come across a familiar scripture and think, "I know that", and tend to rush on.

Then I stop myself.  This is not proper handling of the word of God.

The word of God brings blessing when we handle it properly ... but it also can bring destruction to us when we handle it improperly.

I Cor. 11 ... For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.  30For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. 31For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

The Lord's supper is not eating of crackers nor drinking of grape juice as many churches do today with natural eyes.  There is no power in crackers & grape juice.  We cannot examine ourselves by crackers & grape juice.  We cannot judge ourselves by crackers & grape juice.  These points should show us crackers & grape juice are not the Lord's supper.

The Lord's supper is the eating of the Word of God.

Whether reading the Bible or reading the blog on Internet, we must do it properly.

By the exhortation we can examine ourselves.  We can build faith when we take time to ponder what is written.

But if we rush through the blog or the Bible, we will fail to draw the food we need.

So stop when you are doing this, and really see what God is saying as you read.  Then apply these things to your life daily.
