πŸ’₯ The imaginations of our heart.

There is an advertisement that appears on TV showing a beach and waves coming upon the shore.  Each time I see this, I think of God.  HE commanded the waves and set boundaries for them to only come to a point and no farther and I marvel at this.

Thinking on God's works and rejoicing in them is often in the hearts of the people of God.

The thoughts of the heart of man, of the flesh of the natural man, is only evil continually.  But remembering things of God is good.

Genesis 6:5  And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Proverbs 3:7  Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

I feel every time I seem to do something "wise", I'm wrong.

When we touch things of ourselves we pollute them.  God showed us that in the Old Testament when HE would not let them use the rocks they had hewn for the temple.

But every time God speaks it is wise and good.

Man can even pollute the Bible.

Once I said to God, "If I say that, they will misunderstand me."

God said to me:  "They misunderstood Paul."  (I started writing.)

What is in the heart comes out our mouths.

Matthew 12:  Jesus said,

33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.

34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

(If we keep our mouth shut the evil remains in our heart.  Rid your heart of evil when you hear evil, by turning to God and asking God to cleanse your heart and to give you a right spirit as in Psalm 51:10)

35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Genesis 3:6  And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

That desire in the human to be wise and be seen as wise is a downfall.

God is good.  God is wise.  When we try to be wise it is a downfall, and especially if we desire to be seen as wise by other people.

Learn to turn to God for HIM to cleanse your heart and to give you a right Spirit.

And learn to speak truthfully, honestly, and without pretense.
