Beginning September 13, 2023, on our blog we plan to present instrumental music daily played by great musicians.
God used instrumental music played skillfully by David when Saul was being attacked by devils.
I Samuel 16
But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.
15 And Saul's servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee.
16 Let our lord now command thy servants, which are before thee, to seek out a man, who is a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well.
17 And Saul said unto his servants, Provide me now a man that can play well, and bring him to me.
18 Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the LORD is with him.
19 Wherefore Saul sent messengers unto Jesse, and said, Send me David thy son, which is with the sheep.
20 And Jesse took an ass laden with bread, and a bottle of wine, and a kid, and sent them by David his son unto Saul.
21 And David came to Saul, and stood before him: and he (David) loved him greatly; and he became his armourbearer.
22 And Saul sent to Jesse, saying, Let David, I pray thee, stand before me; for he hath found favour in my sight.
23 And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.
We see by this it isn't just hymns that helps God's people but pure instrumental music can greatly calm us and cause us to relax and live in a peace.
I want to give you an opportunity for additional help through introducing you to classical music, especially if you can be helped by this.
In the end times we will need all the help we can get when the disruptions and problems come on this present earth. We are already seeing signs of these through weather and violence of man.

2 Samuel 6:5 And David and all the house of Israel played before the LORD on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.
By music we express great joy and victory and power and praise.
And by these scriptures we see when David played skillfully, evil spirits left king Saul.

Classical music is usually very abstract music. Therefore it does not have the same emotional ties that popular music can have. Popular music often stirs people up to past memories which can pull a person down or cause a person to lust after that which he no longer has.
Classical music can be very helpful to us in helping settle emotions or even causing us to relax without the negative effects of other music.
I just enjoy the sound of the instruments and what they are able to do when played by talented people.
We are fortunate to have very great performers of music recorded today, many even from the early 1900's.
