We see how God often warned the children of Israel in the Old Testament but they would not listen to God and correct their ways. So God brought HIS judgment.
Paul said:
I Corinthians 11
32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

A woman in our little church group went through some strong trials concerning her 70+ year old husband's health. It is so difficult when that happens. He fell twice and they found he had 2 small strokes.
We were all concerning about her. They live in a big house "with stairs everywhere", as she described to us. Of course she had to be fearful. "What will happen? Will my husband get worse? Will we be able to continue to live together alone? How will we manage all these stairs if he can't walk?"
Devils take such situations as opportunities to move and bombard us with even more speculations. This is common to all.
What do we do?
We really have to call out to God for HIS help. HE is the way. And of course we ask God to calm us and settle us.

I don't know exactly what she did. We were all panicked when we heard what had happened.
It certainly seemed they would not be able to continue to live in the house where they had been living.
And it seemed she could not deal with the issue alone, since her husband had some problems walking.
The next report I recall from her: Her adult aged son had come from the other side of the state to help. (We were relieved to hear this!)
The next report: They would move into her sons condimunium on the other side of the state and live in his master bedroom for it was already equipped with handicapped bars and aids in the master bath area. This seemed perfect! I was greatly relieved to know she would have her son's assistance and her adult aged daughter also lived in that city and she would have the help of daughter and son in law.

About two days later: God gave me an open vision. I saw a giant, prehistoric type snake (similar to an alligator). A woman was being swallowed whole. (Like Jonah by the whale.) Only her feet were dangling out of the animal's mouth. Then the animal gulped and she was completely swallowed up by the snake and was in the snake's belly. The snake licked his lips and turned and seemed to waddle off with the tip of his tail wagging like a satisfied dog.
When I learned the plan to move to her son's condo, I wondered how this came about. Finally I asked her and she said, "He offered." (But nothing was said about God showing them to do this!)
Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

I knew she was the woman in the vision which God had given me showing a woman being swallowed whole by a big snake.
I knew I had to tell her. "She would be surrounded by unbelievers and they would speak of this world and she would be swallowed whole by things of this world."
I did tell her. Then she said: "From the beginning, I never had peace about this."
God leads us by peace. When we have no peace, we must not do that which we had planned to do.
After the snake vision, she told her husband she didn't want to move to son's house. And they changed their plans. He was fine about not moving to her son's house.
Certainly it would have been better had she judged the situation by the fact that she did not have peace about doing this and therefore not continue in the plan. (If we judge ourselves we will not be judged.) But when we are judged and God sends correction by HIS prophet, then we have to know it was the mercy of God that the correction from God was sent to us.
Basic Bible guidelines of following God.
* Matthew 11:30 For MY yoke is easy, and MY burden is light.
* James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

I contacted this woman about a week ago to inquire about her husband health and she said he was now able to walk without walker or cane and was able to get up and down the stairs. So for time being they were selling their heavy equipment, snow blower and lawn items, and were able to continue to live at their present house and for time being not move.
That certainly seems good to me!
