πŸ’₯ When Jesus comes to gather the church.

In the last days, before the end of this present world, Jesus will come in the clouds to gather the dead in Christ and the elect of God to take them to the new heaven and new earth created for them by God.  There will be only righteousness there.  There will be no more death because we will then be as God, a spirit.  We will not have flesh and blood bodies that can die or have pain or disease or sin.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Revelation 21  (The apostle John says:)

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and God HIMSELF shall be with them, and be their God.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

I Corinthians 15  (The apostle Paul says:)

47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep (die), but we shall all be changed,

(One reason I have not made arrangments for a funeral is that I don't know for sure that I will die.  When Jesus comes, HE will raise the living as-well-as the dead in Christ.)

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

(Blink ... That is how fast we will be changed out of these human bodies.)

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Matthew 24  (Jesus says)

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31 And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

2 Peter 3  (The apostle Peter says)

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Since no one knows the day or hour of Jesus' return, we would need to live each day in peace, without spot and blameless through continual faith in God in all things and constant prayer, especially over problems.

Philippians 4

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Podcast: God's commandment when it came time for the children of Israel to posses the land given to them by God

Numbers 33

50 And the LORD spake unto Moses in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho, saying,

51 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye are passed over Jordan into the land of Canaan;

52 Then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places:

53 And ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land, and dwell therein: for I have given you the land to possess it.

54 And ye shall divide the land by lot for an inheritance among your families: and to the more ye shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer ye shall give the less inheritance: every man's inheritance shall be in the place where his lot falleth; according to the tribes of your fathers ye shall inherit.

55 But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.

56 Moreover it shall come to pass, that I shall do unto you, as I thought to do unto them.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

2 Corinthians 6

14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

πŸ’₯ Give me another mountain!

When Joshua was dividing the land among the 12 tribes of Israel, Caleb was 85 years old and he went to Joshua and said,

Joshua 14

5 As the LORD commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did, and they divided the land.

6 Then the children of Judah came unto Joshua in Gilgal: and Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite said unto him, Thou knowest the thing that the LORD said unto Moses the man of God concerning me and thee in Kadeshbarnea.

7 Forty years old was I when Moses the servant of the LORD sent me from Kadeshbarnea to espy out the land; and I brought him word again as it was in mine heart.

8 Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt: but I wholly followed the LORD my God.

9 And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children's for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the LORD my God.

10 And now, behold, the LORD hath kept me alive, as HE said, these forty and five years, even since the LORD spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old.
(85-years-old)

11 As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.

12 Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the LORD said.

13 And Joshua blessed him, and gave unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh Hebron for an inheritance.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Long ago, my pastor at Word of Faith church loved to tell how Caleb said he was 85 and said, "Give me this mountain!"  Even while old, Caleb was ready to fight for another mountain.  And that mountain was given to Caleb.

Recently, in September, 2023, God gave me a dream showing me I was being given another very big assignment.

I wondered about this "big" assignment.  I'm almost 86.  I can't walk much.  I rarely even leave my house.  I work daily on the assignments I have been given in the past:  blog (2015); books (Amazon in 2015); Podcasts starting the first week in February, 2020 ... now, another "big mountain" ?

Like Caleb I was glad ... I just wondered how it could be and what it would be.  But I readily said in my heart:  "Yeah.  Bring it on."

I believe I know what the assignment is:  King Saul disobeyed God and ended up having God take away the kingdom as a result.  Evil spirits came on Saul and the Holy Spirit departed from Saul.  His servants knew something that would help king Saul and in this scripture they tell this to Saul.

I Samuel 16

13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him (David) in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.

14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.

15 And Saul's servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee.

16 Let our lord now command thy servants, which are before thee, to seek out a man, who is a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well.

17 And Saul said unto his servants, Provide me now a man that can play well, and bring him to me.

18 Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the LORD is with him.

19 Wherefore Saul sent messengers unto Jesse, and said, Send me David thy son, which is with the sheep.

20 And Jesse took an ass laden with bread, and a bottle of wine, and a kid, and sent them by David his son unto Saul.

21 And David came to Saul, and stood before him: and he loved him greatly; and he became his armourbearer.

22 And Saul sent to Jesse, saying, Let David, I pray thee, stand before me; for he hath found favour in my sight.

23 And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

I began to realize that instrumental music played well, had the power to cause evil Spirits to depart.  People often listen to music when stuck in traffic and it helps them to endure the traffic.  When I was traveling in the 1980's, church people would pick me up at the airport where a meeting was scheduled and take me to my hotel.  During this time, I noticed that almost always the person who came for me had been playing the radio in his car.  (The radio seemed to be of help to him.)

Music has great power to affect the emotions of man.

(We see how Saul was helped when David played skillfully, "And the evil spirit departed from him.")

Would listening to skillfully played instrumental music (classical music) be helpful to the church?

I wondered and I began to pray about this.

I know the times will grow increasingly difficult in the days ahead on this earth.  In fact Paul said the time would come when the time would be "perilous".

2 Timothy 3  (Paul warns the church)

1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

I began asking God if HE wanted me to do this?  We could probably set up a second blog on on provider, Podbean, and play classical music on that blog.

Why classical music?

Classical music usually is only instrumental (as David played on his harp before Saul.)

Classical music is very abstract sound without images.  So no one is singing about their lost loves, making listeners remember things they should not remember.

Popular music is often contrary to scripture:

Philippians 3  (The apostle Paul says,)

13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

After thinking and praying about playing classical music on our blog to help Christians which have torments caused by devils, I kept going back to the example of Saul and David and how when David played skillfully on his harp, the evil spirit fled from king Saul.

And I heard:  "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good."  (I Thessalonians 5:21)

So on September 12, we began playing classical music on a section of our daily blog:  "Jesus Ministries Exhortations"

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Pam found a website which provided large numbers of compositions with an archive of performers from the beginning of period of time when sound recordings were made in the early 1900's, as far back as examples of the opera singer, Enrico Caruso, 1909 recordings.

I was fascinated with these, getting to hear him and others.  I didn't know there were any examples of recording that early.

This gathering of music often has 50 to 100 or more recordings of the same composition so a musician could compare the actual performance style and interpretation of the music artist!

The cost to subscribe to this anthology was only $20 for 3 years.  classical-music-online.net

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

We rented, for $109 per year, a second provider which hosted a second website for us thus allowing us to present the written exortations from the Bible and the Classical Music on the same blog daily!

And we began publishing classical music compositions daily starting with Beethoven's Symphony No. 5. on September 12, 2023.

I listen to our new blog through the day each day and have found it helps me to slow down a little and focus better, even while reading the Bible.  Often thoughts come from devils which try to pull us away from Bible and get us to "do something important."  (Apparently those evil spirits flee from us as they fled from king Saul when David played his harp.  I Samuel 16)

When I have a trying day, I find I can play this music and begin to relax!

I find it very helpful.

As things grow worse in the world, I believe it will be especially helpful to us.

And while I used to want to see what was going on by looking at the evening news and troubling myself, I find now I often even forget the news is on!

The fruits coming from listening to classical music are good fruits for me.

Prove all things; hold fast that is good.  (I Thessalonians 5:21)

Podcast: The last battle for Moses:

Numbers 31

1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Avenge the children of Israel of the Midianites: afterward shalt thou be gathered unto thy people.

3 And Moses spake unto the people, saying, Arm some of yourselves unto the war, and let them go against the Midianites, and avenge the LORD of Midian.

4 Of every tribe a thousand, throughout all the tribes of Israel, shall ye send to the war.

5 So there were delivered out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand of every tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.

6 And Moses sent them to the war, a thousand of every tribe, them and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, to the war, with the holy instruments, and the trumpets to blow in his hand.

7 And they warred against the Midianites, as the LORD commanded Moses; and they slew all the males.

8 And they slew the kings of Midian, beside the rest of them that were slain; namely, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they slew with the sword.

(Balaam was hanging out with the Midianites when the attack by the children of Israel came and he was slain with the Midianites.  Take heed to this example!)

9 And the children of Israel took all the women of Midian captives, and their little ones, and took the spoil of all their cattle, and all their flocks, and all their goods.

10 And they burnt all their cities wherein they dwelt, and all their goodly castles, with fire.

11 And they took all the spoil, and all the prey, both of men and of beasts.

12 And they brought the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, unto Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and unto the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by Jordan near Jericho.

(Didn't God tell them to slay all the women who had known men, had sex with men?)

13 And Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and all the princes of the congregation, went forth to meet them without the camp.

14 And Moses was wroth with the officers of the host, with the captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, which came from the battle.

15 And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive?

16 Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD.

17 Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.

18 But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

19 And do ye abide without the camp seven days: whosoever hath killed any person, and whosoever hath touched any slain, purify both yourselves and your captives on the third day, and on the seventh day.

20 And purify all your raiment, and all that is made of skins, and all work of goats' hair, and all things made of wood.

21 And Eleazar the priest said unto the men of war which went to the battle, This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD commanded Moses;

22 Only the gold, and the silver, the brass, the iron, the tin, and the lead,

23 Every thing that may abide the fire, ye shall make it go through the fire, and it shall be clean: nevertheless it shall be purified with the water of separation: and all that abideth not the fire ye shall make go through the water.

24 And ye shall wash your clothes on the seventh day, and ye shall be clean, and afterward ye shall come into the camp.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

25 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

26 Take the sum of the prey that was taken, both of man and of beast, thou, and Eleazar the priest, and the chief fathers of the congregation:

27 And divide the prey into two parts; between them that took the war upon them, who went out to battle, and between all the congregation:

28 And levy a tribute unto the LORD of the men of war which went out to battle: one soul of five hundred, both of the persons, and of the beeves, and of the asses, and of the sheep:

29 Take it of their half, and give it unto Eleazar the priest, for an heave offering of the LORD.

30 And of the children of Israel's half, thou shalt take one portion of fifty, of the persons, of the beeves, of the asses, and of the flocks, of all manner of beasts, and give them unto the Levites, which keep the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD.

31 And Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the LORD commanded Moses.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

When I have been visiting with an unbeliever, I often pray this over myself:

Psalm 51:10  Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

When we "visit" with the world or with the apostate church people who have cast away scripture and have set up other doctrines, we "touch" the unclean.  I know God can instantly cleanse us and set us in the right spirit again.

πŸ’₯ We believe because now we have heard HIM ourselves.

John 4, the woman at the well talked to Jesus and recognized HIM as being "The Prophet".  She went to other people and told them about Jesus.

After hearing the woman,

John 4

30 Then they went out of the city, and came unto HIM.

41 And many more believed because of HIS own word;

42 And said unto the womanNow we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard HIM ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

When we hear Jesus ourselves, we are born again, and that makes all the difference.

August 5, 1975, I heard in my mind:  "Joan ... You know all those mistakes you've been making all these years.  Those weren't mistakes.  Those were sins."

I was shocked.  I had no idea the "mistakes" were sins.  And the statement was made starting with my name.  It was a specific call to me. And I was never the same after that!  Instantly my life was changed forever.

Podcast: The end of Moses' life. Joshua appointed by God to lead the children of Israel into the promised land.

Numbers 27

12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given unto the children of Israel.

13 And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered.

14 For ye rebelled against MY commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify ME at the water before their eyes: that is the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Moses asked God to appoint a man to lead the children of Israel:

Numbers 27:15

15 And Moses spake unto the LORD, saying,

16 Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,

17 Which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the congregation of the LORD be not as sheep which have no shepherd.

18 And the LORD said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him;

19 And set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight.

20 And thou shalt put some of thine honour upon him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient.

21 And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask counsel for him after the judgment of Urim before the LORD: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.

22 And Moses did as the LORD commanded him: and he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation:

23 And he laid his hands upon him, and gave him a charge, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.

πŸ’₯ Prove all things. Hold fast that which is good. (I Thess. 5:21)

What have I proven that I know is good?

πŸ’₯  Joshua 1:8

This book of the law (the Bible) shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

It is good to take a scripture and think on it and apply it to my life:  Look up key words in dictionary.  Often God will cause my understanding to expand and show me ways to apply that to my life.  God sometimes corrects me that way.

Recently I was reminded of these scriptures by the Holy Spirit:

Hebrews 10:24   And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

to provoke:  to do things to promote them and encourage them to love and to good works; to stimulate another to such;

* I Corinthians 3:16  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

Think on these scriptures day and night until you do them or live in an appropriate way.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Also as I read Bible, I also noticed certain scripture that I want to keep before me to modify my way and conform my thinking to God's way and to give me strength in God.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

πŸ’₯  I am currently "proving" the benefits of classical music in my life.  What fruits are produced in me?

So far, I'm calmer, more patience.

I have been able to focus better while reading the Bible and playing the music.  I think it might be causing devils who would bring thoughts to my mind to draw me away from reading the Bible to depart.

A few nights ago, I turned off the TV and just listened to the classical music we have presented on our blog.  (I think instead of watching the TV, I proof read some of the future writings on the blog.)

πŸ’₯ I prove certain foods and when I have indigestion after eating those foods, I stop eating them.

πŸ’₯ I am proving the time I take my sleep aid and have settled on the time that seems to work best and give me a full night of sleep.  (I find rest to be very important to me.)

Paul said:  Prove all things.

πŸ’₯ I had a cousin, a church goers, that I just couldn't be around or talk with.  She seemed to want to turn me away from doctrines that I believe God has taught me and she wanted me to stop me from writing and doing the podcasts.  (I had to stop communicating with her.  She was 97 then.  I'm sure she is dead now.  Sometimes their church doctrine is just so opposite we can't talk without trouble.)

πŸ’₯ I work to live in peace without strife and that causes me to make many adjustments in my life, staying in the "right" Spirit.

πŸ’₯ God had shown me not to bring "false gods" before HIM ... and I began to think it was also better for me not to read books where they bring forth false gods before me.

I had bought a kindle version of Pearl Buck's, "The Good Earth."  At the beginning of the book, the young Chinese man had married and the first thing they they did was to go visit his god, which was a block of wood which he, himself, had plastered and had set up.

I really wanted to read this book but I couldn't.

TV shows often show the characters attending a Catholic Church filled with plaster idols or garment dressed priests which NT does not do.  I just can't watch this ... often I fast forward through these church scenes.  Sometimes I have to completely stop seeing the TV series.

Prove all things.  Hold fast that which is good.

We must consider "is what they say" edifying to me.  Or do they just trouble me?

Podcast: Jesus, The Word, is all the world to me

Psalm 23  (The Lord is The Word)

1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 HE maketh me to lie down in green pastures: HE leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 HE restoreth my soul: HE leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for HIS name's sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for THOU art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 THOU preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: THOU anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

John 1

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by HIM; and without HIM was not any thing made that was made.

4 In HIM was life; and the life was the light of men.

5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through HIM might believe.

8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

10 HE was in the world, and the world was made by HIM, and the world knew HIM not.

11 HE came unto HIS own, and HIS own received HIM not.

12 But as many as received HIM, to them gave HE power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on HIS name:

13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld HIS glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

From the beginning of time "The Word" was with God.  And "The Word" is God.  And we follow "The Word."

John 10  (Jesus, The Word, says to us)

27 MY sheep hear MY voice, and I know them, and they follow ME:

28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any (no spirit, no man, no circumstance) pluck them out of MY hand.

29 MY Father, which gave them ME, is greater than all; and no(ne) is able to pluck them out of MY Father's hand.

1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

3 To HIM the porter openeth; and the sheep hear HIS voice: and HE calleth HIS own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

4 And when HE putteth forth HIS own sheep, HE goeth before them, and the sheep follow HIM: for they know HIS voice.

5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

πŸ’₯ In the last days, trouble and sin will increase. The devil is more fierce.

2 Timothy 3   (the apostle Paul says)

1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

(They will not consider anyone but themselves.  They will not care how their actions affect other people.  They will do only that which pleases themselves and walk in their own wisdom.)

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

(I believe it will be a challenge to keep our minds in peace, without spot, and blameless as the apostle Peter tells us to do.  I Peter 3:14)

Jesus warns us about "surfeiting" ... which is over indulgence, over doing.

Luke 21

34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting (over indulgence), and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

(When we overdo and become tired, we can end up saying and doing things unwise.)

35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, (pray over all problems and concerns) that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Revelation 12

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

It seems we have to work more during this time to live in peace, deliberately following after those things that cause us to be peaceful.  Avoiding strife and people who stir us up to sin.

Hold onto scriptures!  Keep in mind our goals on this earth:  faithfulness to God, peace with God.

I think each of us must really work to do those things which help us to be calm and peaceful and godly.

Turning to God and depending HIM to show us what to do daily to continue in HIM.

Psalm 51:17  Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

(I especially pray Psalm 51:17 when I have brushed against the people of this world.  I know I can't create a clean heart and right spirit in me.  But I know God can and will do this for me.)

Podcasts: God leads us today by scriptures, HIS Word, which he brings to us out of both the Old and New Testaments

Examples given of God doing this with various Christians.  Patterns of how God speaks to us today by HIS Word.  Faith in that which God says to us.

From the Old Testament:  an example of following God by doing what God says.

God calls Joshua to lead the children of Israel after the death of Moses, and how to accomplish the will of God for our lives.  These things apply to that which God has told us to do today.

When God tells you to do something today, the pattern which will show you what to do and how to have good success.

Philippians 4:13  The apostle Paul says:  I can do all things through Christ (the Word given me by God in the issue of this life) which strengtheneth me.

Pam Padgett, a member of the body of Christ, saw a word from Old Testament which showed her to take early retirement because her job was destruction to her.

Micah 2:10  Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction.

What would she do with all that time ?

Pam retired in February, 2012, at age of approximately 56.

God gave me a dream to start a blog in March, 2012.  I called Pam to see if she could set it up and run it for the ministry.  (Then we learned that Pam has spiritual gift of "helps".)

I Corinthians 12:28  Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. 28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

Everything turned out very well for her after early retirement.  She has been working with us since she retired.  Now she has set up and maintains blog, our books with Amazon, and since 2020 Podcasts, and now the addition of the Classical Music Podcast.

Recently we had to get another church person to help Pam with all the work she has had to do.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

On this Podcast, I present how God leads us, often with Old Testament scripture.

Joshua 1  (God taught Joshua how to do the work to replace Moses in the job of leading the Children into the promised land.)

1 Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying,

2 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.

(The assignment given Joshua differs from our assignment but the method of doing the assignment still applies to the New Testament church today.)

3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses. 4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.

5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.

7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

(The "book of the law" for us is the New Testament Bible which contains laws of God for the New Covenant church.  Also many promises of God apply to the New Testament church today.)

9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Explained on this Podcast.

πŸ’₯ Follow after peace. God leads us by peace.

Romans 14:19  Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

(edify:  to build in the faith in God)

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

The apostle Paul speaks concerning a marriage between believer and unbeliever:

I Corinthians 7:12-17

12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.

13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.

(The believer dwells as a believer doing that which he (she) feels right in the sight of God.  Then if the unbeliever is pleased to dwell that way, allow that unbeliever to do so.  But if the unbeliever is not pleased, let the unbeliever depart.)

14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.

15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.

16 For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?

17 But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

I Corinthians 10:13  There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Podcast: When we go in the way directed by God, signs will follow

I felt strongly God wanted us to go through the Old Testament and compare the ways of God in OT with parallels in the New Testament.  So when I was convinced to do this, that it was what God wanted, I began taking us through the examples in the OT presenting them on the Podcasts and talking about NT ways, comparing them with OT.

The Old Testament so often shows us how God views various issues and we see things that greatly please God and also see those things and ways that anger God mightily.

God changes us from within as we consider the Old Testament!  And often we don't even realize we are being changed until something arises to show us how different we are about the issue from past feelings.

When they complained, it greatly displeased God.  And God brought enormous plagues upon the congregation and killed thousands in the plagues.

If we complain, we show lack of faith in God.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Recently the main amplifier that runs my left front speaker on my sound system quit working.  This is like having the motor fall out of your car for the amplifier forces the sound out of the system.

I've been involved with high end sound equipment since 1990. I have God-given special abilities to hear sound.  So I am very affected by sound and various quality of sound.

The amp quit working in late August, 2023.

I noticed a change in me when this happened.  Normally I would have been very upset over this, even depressed!  Certainly inwardly complaining.

But this time, I just sat looking at that amp which was doing nothing at all.

We tried all the things the sound manual said to do to reboot the unit and nothing worked.

The amp would have to be sent to either Austin, Texas, or to New York, to one of three authorized repair shops.

The unit weighs 150 lbs.

But we have already planned to have two men come to do some work at the house and they will be able to lift the unit and box it for shipping and put it into the garage.  We can send it by truck to the service recommended by the manufacturer.  I'm sure Pam Padgett will make the necessary arrangements for me.

I made a statement to Pam that I was surprised I wasn't upset over this like I have been in past years when sound equipment has gone down.

God then showed me I have been greatly changed by HIM from within as I have read these Old Testament scriptures during the past few months.

Amazing!  I didn't even know God was doing this work inside of me, but HE was.

We see so many examples of the people in the Old Testament complaining and how this greatly displeases God!

(And weren't we changed when we were born again, when God gave us HIS Word?)

The Word of God has great power to change us from within ourselves, causing us to automatically react in a way that pleases God for we know God is in charge and makes a way for us when there seems to be "no way".

In the case of my amp, the way was all laid out in front of me immediately, as soon as the problem arose:  We have a small but excellent Jeff Rolland amp which Pam easily carried to my room and set beside the speaker and hooked it up.  We will go ahead and set up the repair date with the authorized service, even setting approximate date they can expect to receive the unit.  We will arrange for unit to be boxed and then shipped by truck.  Pam even has a Fed Ex retired employee discount for shipping.  And Pam has a working amp just exactly like my amp sitting in the room adjacent to my room so it can be moved into my room for me to use until my amp has been repaired and returned to me, as soon as strong men arrive at our house to do work!

And we can know if something matters to us, God is already on the case!

God says:

Isaiah 45:2  I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:

These truths grow within us and live within us!

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

When we do the will of God, signs follow:  Jesus says:

Mark 16

15 And HE (Jesus) said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In MY name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, HE was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

George Szell  (1897-1970) was a Hungarian-born conductor. He is widely considered one of the twentieth century's greatest conductors.  He is remembered today for his long and successful tenure as music director of the Cleveland Orchestra of Cleveland, Ohio, and for the recordings of the standard classical repertoire he made in Cleveland and with other orchestras.

Szell came to Cleveland in 1946 to take over a respected if undersized orchestra, which was struggling to recover from the disruptions of World War II.  By the time of his death he was credited, to quote the critic Donal Henahan, with having built it into "what many critics regarded as the world's keenest symphonic instrument."

Szell quickly realized that he was never going to make a career out of being a composer or pianist, and that he much preferred the artistic control he could achieve as a conductor.  The Vienna Symphony's conductor had injured his arm, and Szell was asked to substitute. Szell quickly turned to conducting full-time.

At the outbreak of war in Europe in 1939, Szell was returning via the U.S. from an Australian tour; he ended up settling with his family in New York City. From 1940 to 1945 he taught composition, orchestration, and music theory at the Mannes College of Music in Manhattan.

He died in 1970.
