💥 Matthew 5:16

 

Jesus says:

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

To me this means:  Share that which God has told me to do for that work is good.  And share that which God has revealed to me for that is good.  And do that which God has told me to do for that is good.

Jesus speaks to each Christian today by HIS Holy Spirit who lives in us.  The Holy Spirit brings to our mind things of God and shows us the will of God in specific things of this present life.  The Holy Spirit teaches us and guides us into all truth and shows us things to come.  The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth and comforts us in this life.  The Holy Spirit restores our soul by reminding us of all that God has done for us and has spoken to us.  And we are kept by the Holy Spirit of God as long as God leaves us on this present earth.

Jesus says:

John 6:63  It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

quickeneth:  makes alive

We are conformed to the image of Christ by HIS Spirit who shows us what to do as we live on this earth.

And the fruits produced by the Spirit of God WHO is in us are:  love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance:  (Gal. 5:22-23)

As we walk in the ways shown us by the Holy Spirit, we will not produce the works of the flesh.

Romans 8:1  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Matthew 7  (Jesus says)

21 Not every one that saith unto ME, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of MY Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in THY name? and in THY name have cast out devils? and in THY name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from ME, ye that work iniquity.

24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of MINE, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

26 And every one that heareth these sayings of MINE, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
