Trying to be godly without having the Spirit of God

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Romans 11 ...  I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. 2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying, 3 Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life. 4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. 5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

John 5:43  (Jesus says)  I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

I am continually surrounded by people who identify themselves as Christian, attending some church.

This is all over my neighborhood ...

Workers come into my house and almost can't wait to speak of praying for someone or having Bible studies.

But when I share what God has done, they go stone cold dead, showing no interest at all nor excitement.

They can't have the spirit of God.

Romans 11 explains what is going on.

Paul is saying God reserves to HIMSELF a remnant.  From the time of Adam this is true.  Noah is an example.  While all the others were destroyed, Noah was spared.

It helps me to see this as it is.

If we go into a church gathering, Baptist, Faith Movement, Catholic ... we will likely be the only one there who has the Spirit of God.

They excite themselves over fleshly things ... that is all they know, the flesh.

That is why Jesus said:

John 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

Twice this week, I've heard sports announcers speak of the same thing.  One marveled at the large crowds of people who filled the streets of Washington DC to see the pope.

Last night a sports announcer on the NFL game pointed to the skyline of NYC and he became glassy eyed as he spoke of the large crowds of people who came there to see the pope.

In the Baptist church it would be excitement over Billy Graham.  In the faith movement churches the excitement would be over Kenneth Copeland.

But the same people are not at all excited over my story of the angel of the Lord speaking three words to me, Hartford, Seattle, KWJS and putting me on radio.

Those same people are not even excited of Paul's story on the road to Damascus when God spoke to Paul.  And they do not relate the situation of the sameness of my story of the angel of the Lord speaking the three words and Paul's story of God speaking on the road to Damascus.  It is the same thing.  God speaking.  But they love their own minister's speaking.  They have the flesh of man but not the Spirit of God.

Like Jesus, I come in the name of THE FATHER, telling what HE did.

Their preachers come in their own name, telling what they researched ...  And the people love this.

Whether protestant churches or Catholic churches it is the same thing ... people who are not of God and are filled with their own will, not of the Spirit ... therefore when you speak of the Spirit and what God has done, they are not interested.  But they are interested in those who come "in their own name", Kenneth Copeland, the pope and such.

But there is a remnant.

Paul says as it was with Elijah when he felt alone and God said to Elijah HE had reserved to HIMSELF 7000 ... so Elijah was not alone ... though Elijah felt alone ...

Romans 11 ...5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant

Remnant is a small piece ... small number ...

Yet we see the masses going to their churches and worshiping their images of what they think is godly, because they do not have the Spirit which allows them to see what is real.  They only see the flesh.

Pay attention to this.

II Tim. 3

1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:from such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
