Psalm 119:89-96 ... Prayers to God and Promises from God to the Church

89 For ever, O Lord,
thy word is settled in heaven.

90 Thy faithfulness is unto all generations:
thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.

91 They continue this day according to thine ordinances:
for all are thy servants.

92 Unless thy law had been my delights,
I should then have perished in mine affliction.

93 I will never forget thy precepts:
for with them thou hast quickened me.

94 I am thine, save me;
for I have sought thy precepts.

95 The wicked have waited for me to destroy me:
but I will consider thy testimonies.
96 I have seen an end of all perfection:
but thy commandment is exceeding broad.

God gave me a revelation concerning HIM ... putting this concept deeply into my heart.

The sun testifies to the faithfulness of God.  Daily we see the sun doing as God commanded.  All people all over this world see this evidence of the faithfulness of God because daily there is light from the sun even when there are clouds.

Since receiving this concept, I often awaken in morning and see the light and say to myself:  "See ... God is faithful."  The sun testifies to the faithfulness of God.

And this is shown to all generations.

Therefore no one will be innocent in the day of judgment for God has shown HIMSELF to all by that which HE created.

Romans 1 ...18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

92 Unless thy law had been my delights,
I should then have perished in mine affliction.

Isaiah 26 ... 3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:

In the trouble of the day, we will be kept in "perfect" peace by thinking on the word given us by God.

Can we think of two things at one time?  I don't think so.  If we chose to think on that which God has said, the other thoughts flee.  If we "stay our mind" on that which God has said we keep ourselves.  This is one part of putting on the whole armor of God.

Eph. 6 ... 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord (THE WORD), and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

We are to dress ourselves in these pieces of armor:  truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, the word of God, and prayer.

Is your mind being attacked by negative thoughts?  Dress in the whole armor of God.  First think about truth ... then add the other pieces of armor to your life.

We have the promise with faith that we shall be able to quench (extinguish) all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Delight yourself in God, in HIS WORD.  Let HIM be your delight daily when you awaken and as you end the day and throughout the day.  Rejoice in HIM, in HIS word.  (surely we can find something in the word in which we can rejoice even on the darkest of days)

Seek HIM as you once sought your lover.

Dig for hidden treasure in HIS word, the Bible.

For it is more precious that rubies ... Proverbs 3 ... 14 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.  15 She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.
