Oppress means pressed against ...
I'm frequently praying for God to deliver me from the words and actions of people who go against HIM. Such greatly oppress me.

because they keep not thy law.
I may not outward cry tears but inwardly I am weeping and devastated when I see them go against God and care so little for what God thinks.
It is amazing for they go against God and even exalt their way in my face. Some pretend they do not know what they have done when they do know. They think to save face. That is impossible when their words and acts are so blatantly against God and against the Holy Spirit.
But God restores my soul. HE always does. HE gives me back joy in time, though I may suffer for awhile.
