Prosper in all that you do

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

God gives us the following promises concerning prosperity and prospering in all that we do.

Psalm 1

1 Blessed is the man
that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord;
and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,
that bringeth forth his fruit in his season;
his leaf also shall not wither;

and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Two necessary things in order to prosper in all that we do ...

First, we must stop seeking the counsel of the ungodly ... (Ungodly are those persons who are wise in their own eyes and do not consult God for HIS wisdom)  We must seek counsel from God, asking HIM for wisdom and asking God for help in the issues of this life.

We must stop going in the way of sinners ... stop doing those things authored by the world ... considering God's way for us on this earth and considering what is right in the sight of God ...

We must stop sitting with the scornful people, with those people who make fun of others and exalt themselves in their scorn.

Second, we develop the habit of meditating in the word of God day and night ... doing that which is right in the sight of God as we live on this earth.

We don't just read a scripture or a Bible chapter and then go on about our business.

The Bible, the scripture, is our business.  It is our life.

We read Bible daily, day and night.  We think on what it says to us.  We conform our life to what Bible is saying to us, doing those things and avoiding the other.

At night, instead of being frustrated because we can't find anything on TV, we can turn off TV and turn to Bible and spend more time in Bible.

When I awaken in the night, and feel I can't go back to sleep, I have made habit of turning on my Kindle (e-reader) and reading Bible.  After a few verses I relax and go back to sleep.

There are habits we can develop to read more of the Bible and to keep us in Bible "day and night".

If we can't seem to focus on Bible, we certainly pray ... we also can look up "key" words in dictionary, thus causing our eyes to be opened to our way on this earth.

Here is another promise telling us we will prosper if we do these things:

Joshua 1 ... 8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein:for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

3 forms of wisdom

1.  There is the wisdom that comes from God.

James 1:5 ... 5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

2.  There is your own wisdom, what you think.

Proverbs 3 ... 7 Be not wise in thine own eyes:

3.  There is the wisdom authored by devils.

John 10 ...10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:
