Isaiah 40:29-31

HE giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might HE increaseth strength.

Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

When we seek God, and do what HE shows us to do, our strength is of God and abounds through God.

To "wait upon God" is to watch for what God wants.

We keep ourselves ready as we look to God and when we see something to do, we do it.

It is like a good waiter in a restaurant ... watching ... waiting ... then doing as the need surfaces.

Some try to do things when there is no need, when God did not author the work.  Also some try to do things when they are not able to do such, neither did God author the work ... they just think it is a "good thing" to do, so they are always begging the church to give them money to pay for their own work.

I am horrified when men send me letters telling of all they are trying to do ... care for all the orphans, feed and care for all the old people ... Basically they are trying to be God.

None of us can do all these things.  We just don't have the money ... nor did God tell us to do all these things.  So we end up in serious need when we try such and we start a work we are not able to finish and we end up begging for money.

When people do such, they should see (if they are of God) they are going the wrong way.

Just consider these scriptures:

Psalm 23  The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

If you cannot pay for that "good" work, then this shows the Lord is not authoring this work ... for if the work was of God, you would not be in want.

And if you have to beg for money, it also shows the work you are trying to do is not of God.

Psalm 37:25    I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor His seed begging bread.

So we must wait and feel we know that which God has shown us to do before we set about to do a work.

Matthew 7:21-27

Jesus says:

Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name? and in Thy name have cast out devils? and in Thy name done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.

(Unless God tells us to do something, what we do will be a work of iniquity, a work of our own thinking and our own desire, even if the works seems like a good work.)

Matthew 7:24-27    Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

(It was based upon that which Jesus said to do.)

And every one that heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Joshua 1:9    Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

We continually examine our works by asking if this work is something God showed us to do.

When it is, we can know God is with us even if there is trouble.
