God says to Jesus, THE WORD: Let us make man in our image

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Jn. 4 ... God is a spirit.

In the beginning, Jesus was (and still is) The Word ... a spirit.

Then Jesus came in the flesh. Jn. 1

But now Jesus is at the right hand of God, I believe in form of The Word ... a spirit.

When God said, "Let us make man in our image," I believe God is meaning the spirit not the flesh ... there is a spirit in man that is not in the animals and fish and fowl or in any other creature.  That spirit is in the image of God.  The sun, the moon, the stars, the earth, the plants, do not have this spirit.  Man has that spirit because man is made in "the image" of God WHO is a Spirit.

John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, HE hath declared HIM.
After I was born again, I was transported into heaven twice.  I knew I was with God, with Jesus, with Holy Spirit but I saw no forms like we think of in seeing men on this earth.  But they were there and I was at that time merged into the body of Jesus, made one with the Word of God.  It was in Spirit, not bodily from.

Concerning the form of man, Paul says ...

I Cor. 15 ...33 Be not deceived:evil communications corrupt good manners. 34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God:I speak this to your shame.
35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? 36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
39 All flesh is not the same flesh:but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial:but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars:for one star differeth from another star in glory.
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory:it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

=============

We are also made in the image of God through the gospel of Christ, through the Word of God as we are recreated in HIS image over and over as we conform to HIS Word.

II Cor. 4 ...  3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

The "gospel of Christ" is the image of God.

If we would "see" God, we see HIM in The Word.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by ME (The Word).

As we take a scripture daily and meditate on that scripture and then do that scripture, we go to The Father through Jesus.

We overcome this world ...

For example:  Visa put a new chip this year in their credit card.  I'm still having trouble getting the check out machines at Wal-mart to take my card.  This makes we want to take the card back to Bank of America who issued the card and tell them the card isn't working properly and get into a struggle over this card ... I just kept saying to myself, "My kingdom is not of this world."  (stay uninvolved)

Jn. 18 ...36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world:if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews:but now is my kingdom not from hence.

Jesus just walked through this world, dealing with spiritual matters as they arose, doing as HE heard from God.

Did Jesus try to improve this world or make this world better?  I don't see that HE did this.  But Jesus did show God to individuals and changed their lives spiritually.

Mainly Jesus was alway connected to The Father and did what the Father told Him, following the Father even unto death.

As we live the Word we are created in the image of God second by second.
