If God gave the talent or beauty, how can you glory when it was given by God

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

I Cor. 4

7 For who maketh thee to differ from another?

God

and what hast thou that thou didst not receive?

My mind is from God, the gifts of the Holy Spirit used for the church are from God ...

 now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?

A man wrote me once and said he likes the way I write.

I thought, "It's all of God.  God gave me the spiritual gift of exhortation so I could write these exhortations to the church."

Pam Padgett has been given a spiritual gifts of helps.  So she exercises that gift of helps.  We praise God that HE gives the church that gift to help us.

Romans 12 ...  5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. 6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; 7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering:or he that teacheth, on teaching; 8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation:he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

Eph. 4 ... 11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

I Cor. 12 ... 4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

These various spiritual gifts and ministry offices are given to the church as God wills.

How can the individual glory in himself when it is God who has given him this gift for the church?

==========

And how can a handsome man or beautiful woman glory in her beauty when she was born that way and it is not of herself.  She can corrupt the gift of God and use that gift to gain power over men but by doing such she will pay a price.

==========

One man is able to run faster than another.  Is that not a part of the creation of God HIMSELF?  But man glories in his own self.  All this will bring condemnation upon him in the end.

Herod gloried in himself and was eaten with worms ... a terrible ending for Herod.

Acts 12 ... 21 And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. 22 And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man. 23 And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory:and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.

Give glory to God who gives various gifts to man, especially the spiritual gifts for the church.
