Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
In speaking by phone with Pam Padgett, we were sharing the scripture we are currently working on to try to get to be a part of our lives.
Pam said the following scriptures have been especially important to her and she has been thinking of these throughout the day and night ...
Proverbs 31 ... 30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain:
but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.
Pam said that desire for physical appearance which attracts other people to herself is much stronger in her than she would have thought.
She also spoke of her need for the following scripture...
Mt. 18 ... 23 Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. 24 And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents. 25 But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. 26 The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. 27 Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. 28 But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence:and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. 29 And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. 30 And he would not:but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt. 31 So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done. 32 Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:33 Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? 34 And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. 35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
I found this so interesting concerning the forgiveness scripture. That is not anything I would have ever considered as a need for Pam. But she said she very much needs it right now.
This just confirms to me again the truth that by finding a scripture daily and meditating on that scripture, God meets our need at that point in time.
Mt. 16, Jesus says: I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven ...
"I" the word ... will give you understanding of the kingdom of God, of the way of God ...
The Word unlocks the door for us.
The Word is the key.
Key: of paramount or crucial importance.
The Word keeps you fastened in a position (Keyed in) ...
Mt. 6 ... 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow:for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
We "seek" His righteous daily as we "hunt" a scripture and think on that scripture, applying that scripture to our lives ... going in HIS way, HIS Word daily.
God knows exactly that which each of us needs today, and as we "find" that special scripture for today, God uses that scripture today to help us with our need today.
We need to "seek" His word ... we hunt for it like the man hunts in that field for that pearl of great price ... nothing is equal to the value of that specific scripture that we find for this moment in time.
Mt. 13 ... 45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
We need to diligently hunt for that "pearl" daily ... and cherish it when we find it ... thinking on how it applies to our lives and especially doing that instruction today. And when we find it, we also make a practice of putting it into our lives in the days ahead by continuing for a season to think on it and to keep doing it.
Jesus says: Jn. 8 ... If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
That special word today is more precious to us than rubies and gold.
Proverbs 3
13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom,
and the man that getteth understanding.
14 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver,
and the gain thereof than fine gold.
15 She is more precious than rubies:
and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.
16 Length of days is in her right hand;
and in her left hand riches and honour.
Proverbs 4
Chapter 4
1 Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father,
and attend to know understanding.
2 For I give you good doctrine,
forsake ye not my law.
3 For I was my father's son,
tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.
4 He taught me also, and said unto me,
Let thine heart retain my words:
keep my commandments, and live.
5 Get wisdom, get understanding:
forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
6 Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee:
love her, and she shall keep thee.
7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom:
and with all thy getting get understanding.
8 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee:
she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.
9 She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace:
a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.
10 Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings;
and the years of thy life shall be many.
11 I have taught thee in the way of wisdom;
I have led thee in right paths.
12 When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened;
and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.
13 Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go:
keep her; for she is thy life.
Learn to dig for that treasure of the Word daily ... hunt it ... seek it ... find it ... cling to it ... keep it ... live by it ... for it is from God and it is God.
Jn. 1 ... 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
