If we learn to delight in God's WORD, daily, by finding a scripture to think on that day, and by applying that Word to our lives that day ... here is what it will be like for us ...
Psalm 1 ... 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,
that bringeth forth his fruit in his season;
his leaf also shall not wither;
and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
We will not "wither" and dry up as the people of this world do ... Instead we will flourish daily because we have sought HIS Word which is life to all who find it.
We must exercise ourselves in godliness ... learning to make it a habit of life to hunt HIS Word daily ... looking for that "special" verse ... digging into that verse ... applying the instruction of that verse into our lives ...
We must learn to do this and practice doing this ... finding the word and meditating in that word and doing that word.
If we do this, we will not "wither" ...
To wither would be to dry up ... suffering decline from neglect or inaction ...
Mk. 4 ... 18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, 19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
Heb. 5 ... 14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
