Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
God gives "talents" to the church as HE wills, to help the church.
These are "spiritual gifts".
Paul explains:
II Corinthians 3:5-6 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

In the body we have hands, eyes, legs, feet ... all the parts of our human body perform a different but needed function in our body.
Paul said the body of Christ has many members needed by the body.
I Corinthians 12:18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased Him.

There is a woman who was among our church group.
I looked intently at her emails with great expectation for I had seen, what I believed to be God, speaking through her with insight which was very helpful.
But this woman held back though I continually encouraged her to share her insights.
She kept insisting that God had not told her she was a prophet ... I continually saw in her gifts given to a prophet ... so I kept encouraging her to share.
I don't believe this woman was a fortune teller for they are trying to see something.
Often when I would speak with her and a subject came up about something we were going through a month earlier, she would say: "I thought of that." But she spoke a month too late to be of benefit to me and to others in the church!
Therefore, I kept trying to get her to speak in a timely way.
But she saw my efforts toward her as "throwing rocks" at her.
I think of the time the man, Shimei, who threw stones and dirt at David ... and David said:
II Samuel 16 It may be that the Lord will look on mine affliction, and that the Lord will requite me good for his cursing this day. And as David and his men went by the way, Shimei went along on the hill's side over against him, and cursed as he went, and threw stones at him, and cast dust.

David put himself in God's hands when a human did wrong against him.

The woman in our church group finally railed at me before a church witness and we had to put her away, as Paul instructed.
I Corinthians 5:11; 13 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat... Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
Railer is defined as one who complains bitterly or vehemently against.
(Her railing was against me in front of a church witness, accusing me of dealing incorrectly with her for past decades.)
Her bitterness showed that she had not settled these matters with God but had harbored evil in her heart against me, in unforgiveness.
Even with this, I have never changed my view about her having in her gifts of the Holy Spirit with information inspired by God which went unshared with the church.
Even while writing this I prayed for God to show me if I was wrong about this woman having gifts from God. Immediately I was reminded of three other people who had words from God only to turn away from God later.

I have had multiple opportunities to turn away from God to please humans and to be exalted in ministry circles and to gain money and fame in radio work and in church gatherings.

Concerning talents from God ... Jesus gives the following parable.
Matthew 25:14-30 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.
And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.
His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

When we yield ourselves to God, HE shows us how to use our gift.
I Corinthians 12:8-10 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
Romans 12:6-8 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
I Corinthians 14:28 And God hath set some in the church (to care for the church), first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
Ephesians 4:8; 11-12 When HE (Jesus) ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men... And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Just as our natural body has many parts, God has given to the church many parts.
Each part is important to the body of Christ, but I don't believe each part develops as it should, due to poor nourishment or careless attention or slothfullness.
After I was born again and baptized the second time in Church of Christ group, my uncle said to me: "If you would come to Church of Christ you could do so much."

If I had gone to Church of Christ I would have had to deny: The Holy Spirit, apostles, prophets, the gifts of the Holy Spirit, supernatural happenings in my life, the call of God on my life, and a great many scriptures in the Bible.

Even at the church that I attended from approximately 1978-82 (Word of Faith),who professed to believe in gifts of Holy Spirit and the ministries of apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher, I had to turn to God for HIM to teach me how to operate in the callings on me: apostle, prophet, gift of exhortation
I had to follow God, doing all that HE showed me to do and following specific scriptures shown me by God in Bible ... and heeding word spoken by angel telling me call letters to radio station, KWJS, and to act on that word, going on radio ... and heeding word in dream showing me to start publishing a blog and sharing exhortations to the church on blog and to arrange to publish on blog and to do the writings for blog ... and to write books, published on Amazon.
And it was important for me to heed words of God that came through individuals.
* One woman shared this word over me:
"God says HE will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist." Luke 21:15 (Interestingly she became one of the adversaries against me!)
* A man who identified himself as a prophet, said the following would happen to me ...
John 21:18-19 When thou wast young, thou girdest thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.
This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow ME.
This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow ME.
* And a woman said to me: "I don't know how I know this but you are going to be mightily used by God. You are going to have to stay very close to God."
* And many times church people said to me: "We know the hand of God is strongly upon you."
* And shortly after I was born again, I was transported into heaven. I was with God, and Christ, and the Holy Spirit. There were no visual images. It was a spiritual thing, in the Spirit. At that time I was merged into the body of Jesus, made one with The Word of God, God and Holy Spirit witnessing.
The exact same thing happened to me a few nights later.
I didn't know what this meant.
I'm sure I needed these things and words to help me to enter into the ministry offices and the gifts of the Holy Spirit and to endure the many attacks against me during the 40 years of church work.
God calls us and equips us and we endure through HIM.
It takes faith to enter in. And faith has action.
James 2:17 faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
