Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
As the natural man, we plan for the future almost from childhood. And we often continue planning for tomorrow and struggling with thoughts of what we will do in future (or what might happen to us) for as long as we live on the earth.
Yet as church people, we know at some point Jesus will return for the church and remove us from this fleshly body in which we now live, and remove us from this present earth which will be destroyed. That could happen even before that which we dread comes to pass.
But still we think of what might happen to us tomorrow and often we try to plan for the future.
Jesus says: Matthew 6:27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
(Can we make ourselves one inch taller by thinking about it?)
But often we are greatly troubled by the thought of what might happen.

God has another way to go, if you can enter in.
Matthew 6:24-34 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
(Can you add one inch to your height by thinking of it?)
And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and HIS righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Thoughts come about tomorrow. So what do we do about them? Do we try to begin thinking of what we might do, various options?
Or do we pray?
***
Or do we pray?
***
As Christians, what we should do is pray about tomorrow, casting all our cares on God through prayer, trusting God to work it our for us.
We can't make ourselves one inch taller by planning, can we?
People who are superstitious trust in very strange things. "For luck" I even saw the fans of a college baseball team wear bananas on their heads. They lost the game. Do they ever consider this? I saw one baseball team take off their caps and stack them on the head of one player, "for luck" in the 9th inning. They lost the game. But they never seem to take note when their "lucky hat" doesn't work ... or when the field goal kicker crosses himself and misses the field goal, I see this all the time as I watch football on TV...
God has a way where we succeed in all that we do ... if we do the following.
Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Psalm 1:1-3 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
I Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon HIM; for he careth for you.

If we choose to trust God and commit our dreads, fears and desires to God in prayer, instead of wrestling over things of tomorrow, we do something that will work when we pray with faith in God.

* Is there anything you dread that is ahead of you? Pray ...
Philippians 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
We learn to act today (after prayer), and to pray over all concerns about tomorrow.
