* Part I - Accumulation of bedside scriptures

Joan Boney … apostle/prophet

In June, 2019, my Church of Christ cousin attempted to prove to me their doctrine saying there are no apostles in today's church and certainly a woman couldn't be one even if apostles existed in today's NT church.

My cousin is 96-years-old and obviously will not have much time left on this earth.

You would not think her to be a formidable foe.

But I found her attack to be as strong as I have witnessed in the past 40-years.

Hanging on and continuing in the work of the ministry depended upon my forcing myself to focus day and night on scriptures brought to my mind by the Holy Spirit.

This ended up in an accumulation of 17 pages of scriptures and writings which I wrote out and kept by my bed.

I was assured by God that I was called to do the work  of apostle and prophet, but I do not think I could have moved into that work and have done that work except for the time I spent building a deep root system by meditating on those parts of the word of God shown me by God during my early years of training for this work.  (1975-1979)

Now when an attack comes against me for the words sake, I know to turn to God in prayer and to pay attention to that which God calls to my attention, scripture, dreams, prophecies, and examples.  And I know to keep those things before me day and night.

The following scripture are those called to my attention by God in the current attack (June, 2019) against the ministry of apostle.

Part I:   Scriptures  (used in spiritual warfare … June, 2019, battles)

I Peter 5:8-9    Be sober (clear minded), be vigilant (constantly watchful); because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

I Kings 13:11-26    Now there dwelt an old prophet in Bethel; and his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Bethel: the words which he had spoken unto the king, them they told also to their father.

And their father said unto them, What way went he?

For his sons had seen what way the man of God went, which came from Judah.

And he said unto his sons, Saddle me the ass.

So they saddled him the ass: and he rode thereon, And went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak: and he said unto him, Art thou the man of God that camest from Judah?

And he said, I am.

Then he said unto him, Come home with me, and eat bread.

And he said, I may not return with thee, nor go in with thee: neither will I eat bread nor drink water with thee in this place: For it was said to me by the word of the Lord, Thou shalt eat no bread nor drink water there, nor turn again to go by the way that thou camest.

He (the old prophet) said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the Lord, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water.

But he lied unto him.

Galatians 1:8-10   But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

(gospel:  God's story to you)

10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

I Kings 13:  (The young prophet & the old prophet)

So he (the young prophet) went back with him, and did eat bread in his house, and drank water.

And it came to pass, as they sat at the table, that the word of the Lord came unto the prophet that brought him back:

And he (the old prophet) cried unto the man of God that came from Judah, saying,

Thus saith the Lord, Forasmuch as thou hast disobeyed the mouth of the Lord, and hast not kept the commandment which the Lord thy God commanded thee,  But camest back, and hast eaten bread and drunk water in the place, of the which the Lord did say to thee, Eat no bread, and drink no water; thy carcase shall not come unto the sepulchre of thy fathers.

And it came to pass, after he had eaten bread, and after he had drunk, that he saddled for him the ass, to wit, for the prophet whom he had brought back.

And when he
(the young prophet) was gone, a lion met him by the way, and slew him: and his carcase was cast in the way, and the ass stood by it, the lion also stood by the carcase.

And, behold, men passed by, and saw the carcase cast in the way, and the lion standing by the carcase: and they came and told it in the city where the old prophet dwelt.

And when the prophet that brought him back from the way heard thereof, he said,

It is the man of God, who was disobedient unto the word of the Lord: therefore the Lord hath delivered him unto the lion, which hath torn him, and slain him, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake unto him.

Mark 4:15    And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

(Must keep the Word before you day and night to allow root system to build in you and to enable you to do the Word … and to keep Satan from stealing the Word from your heart.)

***

Matthew 10:32-39    Whosoever therefore shall confess ME (The Word) before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

But whosoever shall deny ME
(The Word) before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
He that loveth father or mother more than ME
(The Word) is not worthy of ME: and he that loveth son or daughter more than ME is not worthy of ME.

And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after ME, is not worthy of ME.

He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for MY sake shall find it.

***

Matthew 7:13-14    Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

***

Acts 13:8-10    But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.

Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him.

And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

***

I Peter 5:7    Casting all your care upon HIM; for HE careth for you.

***

Philippians 4:6-7    Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

***

Acts 1:21-26    Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,

Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that HE (Jesus) was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of His resurrection.

And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.

And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,  That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.

And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

(Paul could not have been an apostle by these qualifications.  Paul was not one of the 12 apostles but was made an apostle after Jesus arose into heaven as shown in Ephesians 4:11)

***

Ephesians 4:8-13    Wherefore HE (Jesus) saith, When HE ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

(Now that HE ascended, what is it but that HE also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? HE that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that HE might fill all things.)

And HE (Jesus) gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into Him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

(In his lifetime, many thought Paul could not be an apostle.  Paul did not walk with Jesus when Jesus walked in the flesh on this earth.  But Paul was one of the NT apostles appointed after Jesus arose.  Ephesians 4:11)

I Corinthians 9:2    If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord.

***

Acts 15:13-19

And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:

Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for His name.

And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,  After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:  That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom My name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

Known unto God are all His works from the beginning of the world.

Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:

(Apostles deal with doctrine in the church as in this example.)

(Paul says)
Acts 20:29-30  (Paul says)  For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
