Mary was only a virgin until Jesus was born

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Matthew 1:24-25    Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:  And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus.

But then Mary and Joseph had other children, 4 boys and also girls.

Matthew 13:54-56    And when HE (Jesus) was come into His own country, HE taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?

Is not this the carpenter's son? is not His mother called Mary? and HIS brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?

And HIS sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?

(They reasoned away Jesus and were offended at those things said by Jesus.  After all, wasn't Jesus just the son of Joseph?  The same way they are offended with us today for they do not see us as a person born again and a child of God, but simply as the child of those natural parents whom they often know.)

So when you speak of "the virgin Mary", that is only through the birth of Jesus.

After that, Mary was a natural woman.

What I think so outstanding of Mary is when she spoke the following words to the angel of the Lord.

Luke 1:38    And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word

And the angel departed from her.

When the wise men came to see the baby Jesus, they worshipped Jesus, not Mary.

Matthew 2:11    And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary HIS mother, and fell down, and worshipped HIM: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto HIM gifts; gold, and frankincense and myrrh.
