Isaiah 30:9-13 That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD:
10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits.
11 Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us
12 Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon
13 Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant.

1Timothy 6:9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Ephesians 1
9 Having made known unto us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He hath purposed in Himself:
10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in Him:
11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will:
12 That we should be to the praise of His glory, who first trusted in Christ.
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory.

This morning Joan and I were talking about the how justice, truth, and morality have declined greatly in the United States since the 1940's.
I was reminded of the following:
Micah 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly (what is just in eyes of God), and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
When we walk humbly with God, we obey what HE says, rather than following popularity, money, power, and other things highly esteemed by those of this world.

Psalm 5
11 But let all those that put their trust in Thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because Thou defendest them: let them also that love Thy name be joyful in Thee.
12 For Thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt Thou compass him as with a shield.
