The apostle Paul says:
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (of the Lord) shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

The end time apostasy in the churches before Jesus returns and before the great tribulation of God.
In 1982, I was reading the above scriptures and God said to me: "The falling away are not people leaving the church ... The falling away are churches leaving the scriptures".
Scriptures in the New Testament Bible will be changed to draw people to the church and many verses of scripture will be no longer spoken, such as: The man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery. (Jesus spoke this in Matthew 5:32 & in Matthew 19:9) I've never heard this taught in any church I've attended in 40 + years.)
Churches today approve many things against scripture: This is antichrist in the church today.
The apostasy had to happen in the churches before Jesus can return. It is already happening and has been for many decades. This tells us Jesus could return soon, anytime. And the Great Tribulation of God where God sends 14 plagues upon this earth could happen anytime.

Isaiah 59:19 So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.

Psalm 39
5 Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah.
6 Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them.

Jeremiah 17:5 Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord.
6 For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.
7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.
8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

Psalm 42:5
Psalm 25:10 All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
Why
art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope
thou in God: for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His
countenance.
