πŸ’₯ Do we marvel at the created? Or do we marvel at the Creator?

Recently on TV I saw a documentary about Yellowstone National Park in the USA.

When they showed the various animals, I marveled at God the Creator who created such animals and caused an environment for them whereby they could live and thrive.

When they showed the geysers, spitting out vapors and erupting, and they told of the great heat under the ground, I marveled at God who put all this together.

I marveled at some point in the future when God will destroy this present heaven and earth.

2 Peter 3

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

When we see the great creation of God in the heavens and the earth, do we think of God, the Creator, or do we marvel in the created?

As I watched this TV production and they showed the many scenes, I thought of God over and over, many times.

I marveled at the complexity and how one thing supported another, and how God in HIS wisdom could create such a thing.

Do we see the Creator?  or the created?

Romans 1

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

20  For the invisible things of HIM from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even HIS eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified HIM not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
