Jesus speaks directly to us as HE did to the apostle Paul.
Acts 9
2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.
3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:
4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord?
And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt THOU have me to do?

And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
(Notice Paul was changed instantly after Jesus spoke to him. And Paul then followed Jesus.)

I was reading a book when all of a sudden God spoke these words to my mind:
"Joan ... you know those mistakes you've been making all these years? Those weren't mistakes. Those were sins!"
"Sins?" I was very shocked. I thought they were mistakes.
The next morning I said to my best friend. "Oh by the way, Donna. I don't think I've been born again until now."
She called me back to where she was sitting and she said: "Joanie ... what did you just say? Come back here."
I told her what happened. She began weeping with joy. She said about a week earlier, she and her husband had begun to consider I might not be born again. The words I spoke were right but something was wrong."
I was completely changed instantly. Before this happened I could quote some scripture but now God was in me by HIS Spirit.

Pam Padgett: (When she was 14.)
One of Pam's classmates was killed on a motorcycle.
Pam had never before considered that someone her age could be killed.
As she thought about this, God said to her by HIS Spirit: "The Catholic church cannot save you. I am your only hope."
Immediately she called out: "Please save me."
After that she realized something of God was "in her."
When she saw the following scripture she knew what it was of God that was in her.
I Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
