πŸ’₯ I believe Jesus is coming soon, perhaps even in our lifetime. Are we ready?

As the iniquities abound in this world and in the apostate churches of today, we realize we draw nearer to the return of Jesus where HE raises the dead in Christ and takes us into heaven to be with HIM in heaven, in the new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Matthew 24:12-13  Jesus says:  And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Revelation 3:5  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before MY Father, and before HIS angels.

Our name can be blotted out of the book of life.  If we allow the love of God and scripture to dim because of the iniquity, we could end up loosing all that really matters.

To endure unto the end of our time on this earth we must overcome through God.

We must understand that the end of all things concerning this present world is coming:

The Bible shows us what is going to happen.

2 Peter 3

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

We must realize all this that we see now is going to be destroyed by God when Jesus returns.  So how can we be trying to hold onto this present earth and make the world better when God has ordained that this present world be destroyed?

As Christians we see that new heaven and new earth and our goal is to keep ourselves ready, serving God as long as God leaves us on this earth.

Therefore Jesus says:

Luke 21:36  Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

So we watch what we are doing now.

And we pray always over everything.  Living in peace through prayer, correcting our way by that which the Bible says by the Holy Spirit, and living blameless lives in the sight of God while we live on this earth.

We are continually connected to God through prayer which makes us worthy to escape.

But if we pray opposite to the ordained will of God, stated in the Bible, how can we be justified in our prayer?  So we must be certain that we are praying according to the will of God, staying connected to God in all things.

Jesus taught us to pray:  THY kingdom come.  THY will be done.  Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.

Are we praying according to the will of God, or are we praying against the will of God and praying according to our own preferences?

We must examine ourselves and make changes as needed.

2 Timothy 3

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

So we read a scripture and evaluate what we are doing, whether we need to make adjustment to conform our thinking according to that which this scripture says and the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Some of the things the Bible teaches us:

Many in this world have a strong focus on exercise, thinking exercise is good and will keep them healthy and cause them to live longer.

The Bible says:

I Timothy 4

1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

***

I Timothy 4:7-8  But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

***

These are just 2 of the many scriptures which show us something opposite to that which is taught today in the world and even in some churches which have fallen away from scripture.

So the apostle Paul warns us:

Romans 12

1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Renew your mind to the word of God in the New Testament Bible.
