Yesterday on CNN International headlines, I noticed a headline saying people would be less likely to marry in the future.
Instantly the Holy Spirit reminded me of these scriptures:
Jesus said this is what it would be like at the end of this world:
Luke 17
27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

The Bible shows us truth. The Bible shows us how we should live to please God. The Bible gives us peace and joy through the knowledge of God and God has even told us what will happen so we are not tossed about as this world.
Jesus said:
John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in ME.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, MY peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 16:33 (Jesus says) These things I have spoken unto you, that in ME ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
If we look to see what the world is doing, we will likely trouble ourselves for the world lives by the flesh of man: hatred, debating, stirring up the flesh by all fleshly things. The politicians continually fight against each other and much evil comes forth. Reporters love to be wise in their own eyes and do much speculating as to what is likely to happen. So our flesh get stirred up by them.

I Corinthians 10:23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
So we look for that which brings edification to us, building us in the faith in God.
And also we look for those things whereby we can edify another, causing that other person to have faith in God.
And we avoid that which promotes fear and steals our faith in God.

God tells us how to live in peace by focusing on that which HE brings to our mind which is truth.
As we keep ourselves in the peace of God, HE leads us. And we hear clearly and God gets us where we need to be to serve HIM.
So we are warned as follows:
Isaiah 26
4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:
5 For HE bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, HE layeth it low; HE layeth it low, even to the ground; HE bringeth it even to the dust.
Choose the way of good and not evil. Put your trust in God. HE will lead us in that good way. We have been taken out of the world by Jesus. Now we focus on God and especially on that which God wants us to do. Read the Bible and pray always asking God what HE wants you to do this day. Follow what God says as good servants of God.
Remember this world will follow it's own flesh:
Galatians 5
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance:
If we allow restlessness and curiosity to lead us, we will end up troubled needlessly.
Our discipline as Christians is to seek the will of God, to serve God and to trust in God in all things. Praying always.
In this world we will have tribulation if we choose to keep up with that which this world is doing.
In prayer and the Word of God we will live in peace and truth.
Jesus says: Watch yourselves, what you are choosing to do. And pray always.
Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Watch what you are doing. And pray always connecting yourself to God in all things. Serving God continually as a Christian.
James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
If we involve ourselves with this world, they will end up being thorns in our sides and pricks in our eyes. You will not help them but they will destroy you and trouble you continually.
Micah 2:10 Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction.
