πŸ’₯ Idols.

Hosea 8:6  The workman made it; therefore it is not God.

If you wear a religious medallion know this.  A workman made this idol.  It is not God.  Do not put your trust in an object made by the hands of men.

Jesus says:

John 4

23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship HIM.

24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship HIM must worship HIM in spirit and in truth.

A man in our church group attended a type of spiritual retreat.  When he returned he kept saying how wonderful that service was.  I finally asked him what was so wonderful about that service.  He said, "OH!  They had 3 large crosses at the end of the table and they were covered with flowers."

If you can see something with your natural eyes it is fleshly, made by man in this case.

You may experience an emotion which makes you feel religious but true things of God are spiritual.  Music often carries an emotion and makes a person feel better but the music is written by man and performed by man and is usually an emotional experience.

It is the word of God that brings true religion especially when that word changes us and draws to closer to God.

Churches are filled with idols:  lighting of candles; crossing themselves; stained glass windows; wooden trims;

Names such as "Reverend" can create an idol, for God did not tell us to call any man "Reverend."  To put that man on a pedestal this way can cause him to be viewed as an idol.
