Each time I read "The Lord" in the Bible, I translate it to "The Word."
Example:
Psalm 23
(The Word is Lord and leads me in all things on this earth.)
2 HE (The Word) maketh me to lie down in green pastures: HE (The Word) leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 HE (The Word) restoreth my soul: HE (The Word) leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for HIS name's sake.

People frequently say "Jesus is Lord" and they identify themselves as Christians but often they do not follow The Word of God who is Jesus.
Jesus said in the last days, many would say "Jesus is Lord" and they would deceive many.
Matthew 24:4-5 Jesus says: Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in MY name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
They picture Jesus in the form of a human.
I see Jesus as The Word of God.

(Gen. 1:3 And God said, "Let there be light:" and there was light. All was created by The Word.)
11 HE (The Word) came unto HIS own, and HIS own received HIM not. (They received not The Word which HE spoke.)
12 But as many as received HIM (The Word), to them gave HE power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on HIS name (The Word):
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

We who are born again, are born by The Word of God. We are given a new heart and a new spirit, the Holy Spirit of God, and we are changed from that person we once were, and are now created into the image of The Word of God by HIS Spirit when we are born again.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
