Psalm 4:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. ...
Among those who do not believe in God are many who are very intelligent, talented, powerful, or successful in this world, who trust
in themselves and go by what seems in their own minds to be best for them, not acknowledging that all of creation shows the existence and power of God.
Although they seem to have much in this world, in the sight of God they are fools.
But those of us who believe God and have been chosen by God ... even if we may seem as
nothing to those of this world ... have everything, for we know God and belong to God.
God has provided the way of salvation for us, forgiving all of our sins by the blood of Jesus, so we may live with Him forever.
God has given us His
Spirit and reveals Himself to us.
God knows all things. Nothing is hidden from Him. In whatever we are facing, we can turn to God for help and He knows everything about the matter and what we need.
We have
access to the wisdom of God ... If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. (James 1:5)
We don't need to work out our lives for ourselves, for the Holy
Spirit leads us and teaches us in the way we are to go, the best way for us.
God provides all that we need as we live and serve Him on this earth.
By the word of God we know that this world will be destroyed. This helps us not put our hope in things of this world which are temporary, but in God and what God has promised, such as new heavens and new earth where righteousness dwells.
We are blessed, not because of our abilities or things of this world, but because we know God and have been chosen by God.
