Disallowed by men ... chosen by God

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

I Peter 2 ... 4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed (to refuse to declare valid) indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,

Certainly there are many people who refuse to declare Jesus as valid.  And there are people, especially in our own household who refuse to declare us as valid in things of God.  As Jesus is so are HIS servants.

5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

We are spiritual sacrifices.  Our entire being is a spiritual sacrifice for we are sacrificed before men as Jesus was in the sense that we profess things of God before the sight of men who declare us invalid (disallowing us as they do Jesus).  Often these people who reject us are members of churches and declare themselves to be Christians while they reject us and declare us invalid.

This should not be surprising to us.

Romans 9:8 ... They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

The flesh of man thinks to be godly and "good" he is to join a church group and be baptized in water.

Jesus says:  Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.... Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.  8The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.   Jn. 3

Those church people born of the will of man "cannot see" things of God.  They have not the Spirit.  And only God can cause a person to be born again and have the Spirit of God.

This fits Romans 9 where Paul explains:  15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. 17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. 18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.

John the Baptist says ... 29The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.  30This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me. 31And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water. 32And John bare record, saying,  I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him. 33And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. 34And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God. Jn. 1

John baptized with water ... Jesus baptizes with the Holy Ghost, giving us the Spirit of God to live in us and lead us and guide us.

Paul says ... 9But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.  12Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Romans 8

So the flesh persecutes the Spirit ... it is not strange that the church people who do not have the Spirit of God would declare us who are of the Spirit of God to be invalid.

We speak wonderful things of the Spirit of God.  They speak things of the mind of man, the intellect of man.

I Cor. 2 ... 12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The time will come when all those who refused us and rejected us as being of God will see us with Jesus and will be horrified to learn they were wrong about us.  And they will "wail" ... as those who reject Jesus "wail" when they see HIM coming through the clouds to reign over all.  Rev. 1 ... 7Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

I Peter 2 ... 6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. 7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed (refused to declare as valid), the same is made the head of the corner,  8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:   10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. 11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; 12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

The brothers of Joseph hated Joseph because he had dreams from God showing himself to be in charge of them and in charge of his own parents.   The brothers conspired to rid themselves of Joseph.  They planned to let him die to get rid of him.  But as they had put Joseph into a hole to leave him to die, they looked up and saw a caravan approaching.  They could sell Joseph for money and be rid of him.  They had no idea God was delivering Joseph and in the end because of Joseph they and their father would survive the famine and Joseph would rule over them.

Later when they came down to Egypt to escape the famine and to seek food, when they realized their brother Joseph was the ruler of Egypt in the famine, they were horrified knowing what they had done to Joseph.

Gen. 45 ... 1 Then Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood by him; and he cried, Cause every man to go out from me. And there stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known unto his brethren. 2 And he wept aloud: and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard.  3 And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; doth my father yet live?

And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence.

What a terrible shock this was for the brothers to learn the person in charge was the brother they tried to destroy, Joseph ...

I see this as the way the haters of Jesus and the ones who discredit us as we follow God will feel when Jesus is revealed and we are with HIM.
