In Psalm 37, we have a very interesting promise from God and a concept showing us that upon which this concept is based.
30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment. 31 The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.
Because God has planted HIS law in our hearts, none of our steps shall slide. HIS law which God has put into our hearts and minds will rise up to put to death the way that is contrary to HIS law.
This is a promise to the New Testament church.
Heb. 10 ... 16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; 17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
Is is basically very easy to stand fast in faith ... for all we have to do is to focus on that which God has said in the matter at hand and reject everything contrary to that which God has said. This is the essence of faith in God. We show faith by that in Whom we believe. If you listen to the thoughts of the devil and believe the devil you show faith in the devil. But we, who are of God and have HIS Spirit have HIS laws planted in our hearts and minds by God and we keep our faith in God by focusing on that which God says.
