Physical beauty and talent often a curse

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

The problem with physical beauty is that it peaks so early in the life of the individual and then it is downhill from that point with no real way to stop the deterioration.  Those who trust in such beauty curse themselves and fill their lives with grief and regret and longing.

The same is true with fleshly talent ... the rise to the top is exhilarating ... then they reach their top never to be achieved again and have to live the remainder of their lives longing to reach another top.

These fleshly achievements are like the flower of the grass that grows and blooms only to be affected by great heat and wither away.

Those people who are admired for their flesh often end in very troubled lives on this present earth.

Whereas those people chosen by God are blessed above all of the beautiful/talented people for when we follow God there is no end to our joy in HIM and in what HE has done.

I Cor. 1 ... 19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. 22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: 23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; 24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: 27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: 29 That no flesh should glory in his presence. 30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

We might admire them for what they did at one point in life, but what is happening to them now?  Is all that beauty and talent for naught?  If so, we should be able to put away any envy and pity them if we have been chosen by God for we have everything that matters in this life and in the next.

Another thing ... those beautiful people and talented people are admired by men as long as the beauty and talent displays itself ... but in the end, what of the admiration once achieved?

But the praise of God endures forever.

Psalm 111:10 ... The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
