Take care to keep your own heart good

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Proverbs 4:23    Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

It is the way of the flesh of man to hate and to be offended and to strike out at those who offended us.

If we are offended by something that another person says or does, and we allow that offense to go into our heart, it will grow in our heart as an evil seed, and at some point it will produce evil fruit through us.

Therefore, when someone offends us, we must be diligent to turn to God immediately through prayer, asking God to help us and asking God for HIS wisdom in the matter at hand.

We keep our own heart through God by taking the matter to God in prayer and by trusting God to establish our thinking and to show us HIS truth in the problem.

Jesus said:

Matthew 12:33-37    Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.

O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

(That which is in your heart will, at some point, come out of your mouth.  So if you fail to deal with offences through turning to God and allowing HIM to establish you in the problem, then evil will go into your own heart and grow and evil fruit will come out of you in time.)

A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

It is critical for us that we take each problem to God in prayer and to trust God to help us that we can remain unspotted and have a good heart in the problem area.
