In the end time, apostasy comes into church groups and individuals fall away from scripture and set up another doctrine and eliminate portions of the doctrine of Christ.
Because they fail to love the Holy Scriptures, God gives them strong delusion to believe the lie they have set up in place of the scripture.
One example: Jesus says: whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. Matthew 5:32
Not only do they say it is alright for a man to marry the divorced woman, they believe it is alright to do so in the church.

When scripture like this is removed, the restraint holding antichrist back from the church is removed along with the scripture and antichrist moves into the church and exalts himself above the scripture, thus showing himself to be god.
All people who exalt themselves above the Holy Bible and set up another doctrine, replacing the doctrine of Christ for the church, show themselves to be as gods, ruling over the scripture.
When Jesus returns for the church, the apostate church will be destroyed.
This is explained to us in II Thessalonians 2.

They cannot be brought back to scripture for the delusion is from God after they have fallen away from scripture.
Therefore all you can do is turn away from them when you see they do not believe Holy Scripture and when you see they have set up a doctrine in the church other than Bible.

They have "a form of godliness", saying such things as "Jesus is Lord", but they deny the power of the Holy Scripture to rule over their lives.
