Preparing ourselves for the return of Jesus

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Jesus will return for the believers.

The faithful church will be raised from the dead and will meet Jesus in the air at that time.

Those persons who are faithful to the word of God and are still alive will be changed out of these current fleshly bodies into their new spiritual bodies and raised to meet Jesus and those who are resurrected from the dead.

I Thessalonians 4:13-16

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep
(dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent
(precede) them which are asleep.

For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

To prepare for this, we, who are still alive on this earth are told, by the apostle Peter, what we need to do.

II Peter 3:10-14

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of Him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

The only way we can keep ourselves ready for the return of Jesus is to settle every matter with God second by second as the troubles of this life come upon us.

* People say and do things to cause us grief
* Situations arise on this earth to trouble us
* Destructive thoughts come upon us
* Past memories afflict us

The only way we are going to be at peace, without spot, and blameless is to work through each problem and each trouble through prayer, allowing God to settle our hearts in spiritual ways so our hearts can be without spot and blameless.

This is also the only way we can live in peace on this present earth.

So if you try to ignore the problems, you cannot be ready for the return of Jesus.

*****

Begin today:  Each time you are reminded of something troublesome, whether in present or past, turn to God with that problem.  Seek help from God through prayer.  Ask God to cleanse your heart on the matter.  Pray until you have the resolution from God.

We must work through these problems one problem at a time as the trouble is brought to our mind.

*****

Example:  I had the flu in December, 2017.  My cleaning lady asked me if I had flu shot.  When I said I did not, she began saying each person (in world) needed to have flu shot.

I was very troubled over this for it eliminates God completely.

I believe each of us should turn to God asking HIM what HE wants us to do.

When I prayed over the troubling thoughts that bombarded my mind concerning her saying this to me, God said by His Spirit, "Just focus on that which she does well."  (which is cleaning)

When I did that, all the troubling thoughts about her vanished.  I no longer had a fear and dread of that which she might say to me in future.

I was at complete peace in the matter after I heard this from God and did what HE told me to do.

Sometimes God has a solution we would never have considered and that solution from God is often so simple.

Another example:   A man was considering adding a storage building to his property whereby he could store his stuff.

As he thought about this, God spoke to him by HIS Spirit and said:  "Why don't you just get rid of the stuff?"

The wisdom from God causes me to smile!

Turning to God this way, connects us to God as a child connects with an earthly father.

Jesus said:

Luke 21:34-36    And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
