I Jn. 5 ... And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. 20And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. 21Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.
Things are so bad today, but I also remember in day when John lived on the earth he said the whole world lies in wickedness.
The way of the world is the nature of man and is wicked.
Certainly Paul said things would get worse and worse (II Tim. 3) ...but things were bad then too. (And we see so many examples in Old Testament of the wickedness of men, even the wickedness of the nation chosen by God, the nation of Israel.)
But we who are of God have an understanding given by God. And we go forward with this understanding. Certainly we speak truth, way of God, when we can speak. And when we cannot speak we can pray. But we would be foolish to pray for world to get better when Bible says it will get worse. But we can pray for certain individuals as we feel concern.
