Transgressions corrupt

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

The Old Testament is given us for an example that we can see what happens if we fail to correct our way.

I Chronicles 9:1 ... So all Israel were reckoned by genealogies; and, behold, they were written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah, who were carried away to Babylon for their transgression.

Some will say, "But Jesus paid for our transgressions."  And that is true.

But after we are born again, if we choose to live by the flesh rather than correcting the flesh by the Spirit, what happens?

Gal. 6 ... Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Even when we have been purchased by Jesus, we can go into corruption by following our own flesh and the desires of our flesh.

Corruption means: To be altered ... made unreliable by errors or alterations ... infected ... contaminated ... changed or debased by making errors or unintentional alterations ... causing errors to appear ... changed from original to one that is regarded as erroneous or debased ... lowered in value by reducing the content (as in changing precious metal by adding foreign substance)

In Christ we are perfected.  As we follow HIM (THE WORD) by HIS Spirit we are recreated in HIS image.  But if we choose to go off in our flesh, serving our flesh, we suffer corruption from the intended.

Therefore we are warned :  Be not deceived ... If you sow to your flesh you reap corruption.

We need to remember to pray before we do something.  Keep the flesh under the control of God's Spirit through committing our works to God before we do those works.

Gal. 6 ... And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. 10As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
