Matthew 6:31-34 ... Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we
eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32
(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly
Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye
first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things
shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow:
for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient
unto the day is the evil thereof.
Proverbs 3:5-8 ... Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not
unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he
shall direct thy paths. 7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD,
and depart from evil. 8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to
thy bones.
Psalm 33:4-11 ... For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works
are done in truth. 5 He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is
full of the goodness of the LORD. 6 By the word of the LORD were the
heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. 7 He
gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the
depth in storehouses. 8 Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the
inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. 9 For he spake, and it was
done; he commanded, and it stood fast. 10 The LORD bringeth the counsel
of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none
effect. 11 The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of
his heart to all generations.
Psalm 37:7-9 ... Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not
thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who
bringeth wicked devices to pass. 8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath:
fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. 9 F
or evildoers shall be cut
off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
Isaiah 56:1-5 ... Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed. 2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil. 3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree. 4 For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant; 5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
